I am always looking for new series to read. This one didn't let me down. It was hard to know how it would end. I often find myself reading this over and over for fun. The other books as well.(I only have twoI 'm trying to get the other two) This is good. Suspenseful and will keep you guessing!:)

A book who leves underground,

When I first saw this book, the cover frightened me. I looked at it several times, then read the back cover and was ready to go into the world of horror. The very first three words of the book: HEAT, HUMIDITY, ANGER - were giving the impression of how this book will be. The black shadows on the picture on the front page were adding more to this scaring feeling. David Moore, the main character of the book, lives in the city. Six months ago, his father disappeared. Everybody thought that he died. However, all of a sudden David saw him...or maybe not him... in an abandoned subway station. He was not alone, what was making the story even scarier. He was surrounded by a crowd of ghosts or ghostlike people. The scariest thing about this episode was that Dad was waving him and calling him. I wondered what would David do next. Would he run away, would he try to forget about as if it was a nightmare? What will happen next? The book turned out to be very exciting. You do not know what happens next. This is the best book to read before you go to bed, because then you have nightmares through the whole night. I like to read about the worlds, which coexist with ours.

David Morre's dad was spoused to come home, but he never showed up. David Morre is a 13 year old boy. His dad disippered while on a case. People think he's been kidnapped, but David doesn't. David was on the subway one day. He and his friends were riding to his house. They were passing an abandoned station when the train suddenly stopped. The lights flickered then went out. David looked out of the window and see's a bright light that blinds him. When his sight comes back he sees the station looks like a movie set, bright lights, new posters and a crowd. The doors open and a man walks out. Something falls out of his pocket and David picks it up. People cheer and pats the stranger on his back. While wondering what is happening, he spots a familiar face. It is his dad! I recommend this book for people who likes ghost and mystery books. I think ages 9 and up will like and understand this book. I read it and loved it. This is a Watcher Collection book. Published in 1998 by Scholastic Inc.

David Moore is thirteen years old and lives in the city. Six months ago his father disappeared yet now David saw him in an abandoned subway station. There are also ghost-like people in this location and no one else can see them, but David. Is David's father dead? Or is he elsewhere?I think this book is great because it is based on fantasy yet also real life situations. For example, a fantasy element occurs when supernatural beings and magical objects appear and the real life situation relates to how life is as we see it. Another reason I liked the book was when Anders was going crazy in his hotel apartment. One flaw that I didn't like in this book is when David was on the Sophie Karp Talk Show. I didn't like this part because he looked like an idiot by wearing girl's makeup.

Watchers Last Stop,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Last Stop (Watchers, No. 1) (Paperback)
Peter Lerangis wrote this book titled Last Stop. I think anyone from ages 7 and up can and should read this book. It is the best fiction book I ever read in my life. David Moore lost his father when he was young and never saw him again, until one day he and his friends take the subway and David sees his father. He thinks he is hallucinating, but is he really? I suggest you read this book, because it is a really great page turner.

My favourite series,

I like Watchers. The books are hard to find but I managed to read No.1-4. I haven't read Island (No.5) yet but I reserve it at the Tao Payoh Library. It isn't scary (I'm not that type that scare easily by books) but the story, the plan is beautiful it's very interesting. My classmate agreed with me when she finally started reading it (boy, I recommended it to her so long ago and she only read it now!). Those people who didn't read it don't know what they're missing.
