3.0 out of 5 stars It's ok
This album is ok. I own other cds by T-Bone and this one just did not minister to me like some of his others. He does have some powerful messages but sometimes its hard to understand what he is saying when he is rapping rapidly.

This is a must own cd. I thought that tha only hot rap cd's were the one wit dirty lyrics but i was wrong. I had been listening to Ja Rule, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Layzie Bone, and all tha other notorious rappers and i thought there wouldn't be a christian alternative. Well this is it. A christian MC straight out tha 'hood. You gotta Pick this album up. It's mad phat!

Hands down, this is the finest gospel rap CD the industry has ever produced. T-Bone, although always great, finally has a real handle on what the gospel rap ministry is all about, and delivers a Latino West Side punch that bumps like no other.

I haven't actually heard any of T-bone's CD's, but I have heard some of his collaborations. He was on tobyMac's excellent "Welcome to Diverse City" and he also had a small part in the "!Hero" project. One of the reviews I saw said that he can outrap eminem, and I have to agree, listen to "Raised in Harlem" on "!Hero" and you will have no doubt. As to the person who talked about him not being Christian, listen to some of dcTalk's early stuff and you'll hear things that caused alot of outrage among Christian conservatives, there are reasons why these artists write things like this, it's to make us think about our faith and what morals we hold close. When I get a chance, I'm buying some of T-bone's stuff, this man is awesome. And by the way, some one said he's a white guy, well he's actually Hispanic. peace.

I took a risk buying this, but after researching T-bone's popularity, it seemed a valid reason to take that risk. Now that I got it, it's awesome! Eminem is put in the trash with T-bone, who could probably outrap Eminem anyday. Saying this is saying alot. But I'm being serious. Awesome lyrical flow, cool beats, some extremely quick/fast rap in the middle, and an overall awesome rap CD for a white guy. Highly reccomended for all Christian rap listeners. Take the risk and get T-Bone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Off the hook, October 17, 2001
This review is from: Last Street Preacha (Audio CD)
This album is worth buying simply for the songs "Nuttin 2 Somethin'", "Father Figure" and "Wipe Your Tears". Every other song is worth listening to and the entire album is a true testimony of a "street preecha"

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST OWN CD....JUST ADD TO CART RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!, March 1, 2001
This review is from: Last Street Preacha (Audio CD)
On this fourth CD of T-Bone's...he demonstrates his lyrical skills that seem to flow easily out of him as if it is fluid. The beats done by Chase are comparable if not surpassing those of Dr. Dre. Don't even think I'm joking. This album is pure quality. What's phat is that these brothers don't speak on the usual ghetto cash, money, sex, etc. They speak on ways out of the ghetto. Instead of focusing on the problems. T-Bone focuses on the solutions. If you at all like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, or X. Then you owe it to yourself to add this to your collection. One love. Great job again T-Bone!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!!, July 26, 2002

T-Bone sounds like a real rap CD. I mean no offense, I am a Christian and The Lord bless all you rappers for Jesus out there...but you gotta have lived it I think and even then, you have to have some talent. T-Bone has both! I am a white guy who loves rap, I threw a lot of rap away when I got saved 8 years ago, so I have a vacuume for good rap, but the lyrics have to be edifying. T-Bone fills the void! Hard core sound, without all the cursing and all the sex talk. He proves that you CAN produce HIGH Quality Christian rap without lowering yourself to the gutter. Buy this CD and virtually every song is a winner. Well, almost every song.. what I want to know is when is the NEXT T-Bone coming out!!???

The last street preacha is the best thing to happen to Christian Music since they stopped singing church music in latin. Seriously, this CD can compete with Eminem, DMX, etc etc etc. T-bone brings "gangsta" style to Christian music which is a big draw for many people...i know it was for me. Most Christian stuff today is pretty light, and I've been looking for darker Christian for a long time. when I heard of T-BOne I grabbed it as quick as I could, and it hasn't been out of my CD player once. Ok, for the critic stuff (after all, it can't be perfect, right?). There is one or two tracks that I normally skip over, like "father Figure". But the rest I can't get enough of. Seriously, I've listened to "get ya hands up" on my MP3 player 59 times (it's got a counter on it), with "street life", "the last street preacha" and "my dream" close behind. trust me: this album is awesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars opinion on some of the best gospel rap, February 24, 2003
This review is from: Last Street Preacha (Audio CD)
When I bought this cd, I had very little idea of what I was getting. I had been a christian for a while and had recently been convicted of my music so i let it go and started to pick up christian cds. T bone is an amazing rapper, his lyrical skills are off the chain and he keeps it real. A sort of mixture between bone thugs n harmony and kurrupt, this is definetly a cd for any rap fan!
