Irreverent and poignant,
This review is from: Last Supper (Audio CD)
Atmospheric jazz intrigue from 2004.
Metallic and vaporous, tumbling and flopping through empty space. Probing percussion clatters and rumbles, piqued with electronic squeaks and washes. Snaked across with humane brass, introspective, wryly humorous and melancholy. Shades of English brass band music. Sounds rather Yiddish. Often evokes abandoned factories, a chilly historical resonance.
