This is a sequel to "Wild is My Love". Romance & mystery is evident from the first to the last pages. Gavin & Alyssa's love is tested by the mysterious Eirik who resembles Alyssa's husband. She is drawn to Eirik when Gavin leaves mysteriously. Alyssa's heart tells her that Eirik is Gavin but her mind tells her otherwise. Alyssa must prove her strenght as the Last Viking Queen to save everyone she loves. This is a very good book. I couldn't put the book down. The action is evident from the first to the last page.

I just finished this book. My sister got it at used bookstore under another title: Wild Sweet Promise. I think the title The Last Viking Queen is much more catching and not cheesy like the former title. I thought from the cover, which depicts your typical fiery embrace between the male and female characters in a romance novel (See Wild Sweet Promise cover pic), that this would be another run of the mill romance. However, for a book written in the 80s, it was atypical. First of all, the main character is a warrior queen, not some simpering princess in a tower. It was like Xena before the tv show came out. Also, it takes place in ancient Britain, in 430A.D., before much was known or written about English history. The love scenes are tame by today's standards, but tasteful. It was refreshing to read something both elegant and original.

Book 2 in this series is awesome. You can read it before or after WILD IS MY LOVE. Lots of magic, sword & scorcery, romance. Hope you love it as much as I did. To be on Kindle within a short time.

This is another romance novel that I love to remember. I love the stories with Alyssa and Gavin and I remember hardly being able to put it down!
