This is a fabulous photographic survey of the major remaining wild horse populations of the world. The variety of breeds & settings maintains interest from cover to cover.For each of the 7 breeds there is an extensive history, physical description, behavior profile & current status. The photos capture the character & personality of the horses in their natural settings. There are athletic mustangs of the American west, primitive horses of Asia & Europe, rugged British ponies, beautiful white horses of the Camargue in France, & a hardy band braving the winter on Canada's Sable Island. Packed with large color photos, this book will be a unique & treasured addition to any horse lover's library.
