I bought this, for a gift, because I liked the display (It was completed). When I got it home, I realized that I had to put it together myself. I did not have time so I was going to get another gift but my daughter stepped up and said she would put it together. It took her less than 2 hours (That included finding and printing the pictures) and the whole community it talking about the game. It can be personalized in many ways. The glue is great. It comes in an easy to use applicater and sticks well without warping the picture. Just be careful with the stickers, once on, they do not come off. Extra stickers are included for mistakes. I plan on buying more for future gifts.

Absolutely LOVE this game! I'd always hoped I could alter a game for my handicapped sister and this totally fit the bill. I added family members, some bling-bling, cool places to travel and some cutie-pies (a little beefcake!) which totally made her grin! I even added little "to-do's" -- if she landed on a square that said "stick your tongue out" or "blow me a kiss" she got $$$, increasing her mobility a bit. I used double-sided tape instead of glue so that I could replace squares to meet her desires and keep the game fresh. It was as much fun setting the game up with pictures as it was to play it. I'll probably buy another board for my piano lab class; I'm sure my teens will love it.

There's an easy way and a hard way, and I took the hard way, but it was a labor of love and now we have a family keepsake.
For those who plan to just download photos from a digital camera, this project will progress a bit quicker. Just follow the detailed instructions that come with the game. I scanned old photos, and tried to print them just the right size. In the end, it all worked out, but it is time consuming.
The instruction booklet is very user friendly. The pen does not smear. The stick-on caption paper can be peeled off the board if you need to readjust it. They give plenty of extra labels, if needed. I wrote my own, for a personal touch, as recommended. Everyone who has seen the finished product is very excited with the way it turned out. We haven't even tried to play the game yet, but feel it will make a perfect gift!

In the end, this made a great gift. It took a bit more work than we expected. It was simple enough to put the pictures on. The glue was easy to use. Time will tell how long the glue will hold. Coming up with little captions was a challenge. We decided to try to print out our own money which created a lot of extra work. In the end, they seemed to enjoy it, added to the fun. I would recommend this but be ready to do the work and tap into your creative side.

I enjoyed doing the photopoly game,adding my own photos but was never able to access the Ritz website for the game. I used the live chat, but still my photos wouldn't load. I used the print index on my own computer to produce photos smaller, I think, than those which Ritz offered. It was well received and I expect you will get more orders from those who saw it. I was able to load stamps with my grandchildren and the other sites seemed to work without difficulty except the photopoly one. Also the gameboard folds so caution folks about what is placed in the fold. I didn't have any luck placing the center strip in the game. Perhaps better directions would help those of us techology challenged.

We purchased this game for our daughter and son-in-law for their first anniversary. We started out by putting the earliest photo we had of the two of them on the first property and filled in the remainder of the properties with photo's from their wedding. It is a great way for them to remember this special time.

Be prepared for a lot of work!! My wife and I spent several hours reviewing photo's, printing photo's and glueing photo's to make this project come together. it was worth it, but start early.

I ordered Photo-opoly as a gift for my husband for our 1 year "paper" anniversary gift. It was perfect because I could use all of our photos and even created my own "photo" money to go with the game. This product did take a long time to complete to make it look really nice. But the end result was very worth the time and money put in. He loved it and we have had fun playing it. It is a great gift for any occasion!

I bought this for my first anniversary and it was alot of work, but my wife really liked it. I put pictures of where we had our first dates and where i proposed, etc... Great product.

wow im very impressed with the quality of this product it is very well made and fun to put together! im currently making it for my mom for christmas using pictures of family members, bussiness and buildings from our home town, and pictures from places that have personal memories for her and our family such as disney land our sanibel island.
It is harder to think out and plan than i had thought but still fun! you need a total of 22 pictures for the board and you can even customize the the pictures on the box. There are many options to achieve the picture and text on the board. for the pictures i used the easy option ritzpix.com bc for the board they need to be 1x1.5" and i had trouble figuring out another easy way to do that unfortunately that isnt the cheapiest option but i blame ritz for that. it does come with stencils to use if you already have pics at home. it comes with an easy to use glue pen,stickers with sayings, and a thin sharpie marker. what took the longest for me was trying to group and order my pictures to make the most sense for instance under one particular color i put pics of my cousin at the beach playing in the sand, the lighthouse at that beach and the boardwalk. for another i put a pic of a family member who when she was younger had dressed up as a princess, my cousins next to a buzz lightyr statue and a pic of disneys magic castle. i highly reccomend this product and hope you have as much fun putting it together as i did.

I ordered this for an auction project for my son's class. It worked perfectly because they have 22 kids in the class and it has 22 spaces on the board. The kids were really excited about naming their own squares and it was easy to make custom titles. The pictures are really small - 1 inch by 1.2 inches - so faces work well. I wish the box title could be done on the computer too. The game pieces are a little cheap and this project is putzy (that is why I did 4 stars), but it will make a great game and I think it will be worth it.
