I couldn't resist getting this when the price dropped to ~$53! It is a very nice tote-sized bag. It holds my legal pad and portfolio perfectly without having all the extra unneeded and clutter-prone space of a larger tote. There are actually three separate inside compartments. The middle compartment has additional organization features which include a zippered side pocket, 4 credit card inserts, 3 pen pockets, and 2 other medium sized pockets that could hold smaller items like a cell phone, pressed powder case, or something like that. There are also two pockets on the outside of the purse that you can see in the picture. With them being outside, you may think they would be great for easy access to items when out (I did.), but they really are a bit inconvenient to use, because they have an insert type closure which is kind of cumbersome to use. Leaving the flap open is not an option because it is unattractive and your item in the pocket would also not be secure. So, I haven't been using the outside pockets. Other things . . . the straps are adjustable. I have found the the outside strap likes to fall when I'm carrying it. I don't know if this means I need to adjust it because I haven't yet tried, but I have been solving the problem by tucking it under the inner strap (like criss-crossing) before I place it on my shoulder.

So, overall, I find this to be a very attractive and fairly practical bag. I have gotten several compliments on the black one, and I may consider purchasing the brown one if the price point drops enough.

The bag is a really good size with lots of room. The front pockets are a little hard to use since you have to slide the flaps in and out. The straps are set too far apart so I didn't find it very comfortable. The leather is beautiful but I was not completely thrilled with the design.
