LA Latin GLBT Pride Parade 2004

This was radically different from the Black pride beach event in Chicago. First, it was a march, rather than just a hang-out. Secondly, it was recorded in a professional manner.
The work shows floats, but then also interviews speakers, and provides websites. This would be very informative for gay Latinos in Southern Cal. that want to join groups. There sure didn't seem to be a lot of people on the sidewalk watching the parade. Some parades are designed where everyone marches. Perhaps the cameras purposely recorded in a vacant area.
This work is very G-rated. There are a few shirtless men, but there is no nudity from either gender whatsoever. Also, the work had a fair number of whites, Blacks, and Asians in it. Unlike the aforementioned Black event in Chicago, this seemed not to be for one race only.
No disrespect, but the work may feel very dated. Villaraigosa gives a speech, but he's not LA's mayor yet. Someone says, "I hope Kerry wins." Obama's senatorial campaign, not his presidential one, is mentioned. That's no fault of the interviewees, but realistically viewers may feel that that is yesterday's news.
This is not 70 minutes of new stuff. It's a 30-minute summary, a speech section and another section. You'll see a lot of the same faces and quotes myriad times.
