This CD is meant to go with a full Latin course using additional items: a DVD course, a teacher's book with a run-down of what the teacher says on the DVD, answers, and views of the student's book pages, and student text/workbook. The program is very clearly outlined and set up. It is an excellent course. I found the teacher on the DVD actually talked fairly slowly and was very easy to follow for the brand new Latin student. Combined with the whole program this CD is an excellent resource for beginning Latin!

This is a CD of a woman teaching a class. It's not particularly user friendly. It begins with Christmas songs and prayers and does NOT give any instruction to the teacher. They also speak WAY TO FAST on the CD. It refers to the text books but gives the wrong page numbers which makes the whole beginning of the experience totally frustrating. However, if you don't give up you WILL figure the whole mess out. Very poorly done, yet still has value. It's as if they were thinking in Latin when they laid out the program, NOT English, and those of us who only speak Engish have to figure it out for ourselves. Disappointing, because it does have value and could have been MUCH better done if the authors really cared to teach and not preach.
