Latina Christiana is constructed in a logical and orderly fashion. It enables parents with no or little knowledge of Latin to help their children learn Latin successfully. The pages are not overloaded so that children won't find the tasks intimidating but rather a source of joy as they progress from one step to the next. The cd helps with the pronunciation and lets children get a natural feel for the language in the same way as they would with a modern foreign language.For additional reading I can recommend Puer Zingiberi Panis: et Fabulae Alterae (Latin Edition) and Musici Bremae: et Fabulae Alterae (Latin Edition). For those at an intermediate level Robinson Secundus: Robinson in Christian Latin (Latin Edition) makes for great further reading as it not only provides lots of 'spoken' Latin but also helps to think about Christian values. |
