A friend gave me this product as a gift. At first I wasn't sure that I would use it, but after trying it out I can't believe I ever lived without it! I spend a lot of time traveling, and use my laptop on all my trips. I love this tool, it's small, portable and can be used anywhere. It takes the pressure off my wrists, which helps with my carpal tunnel. It's a great tool, I recommend it for any laptop user.

I cant believe how great this little purchase turned out to be. I got my very first laptop (Dell Studio 17 with all of the bells and whistles...an EXCELLENT purchase that I highly recommend..and ladies..it comes in pink....beautiful! I will leave a review for that elsewhere) when I got it I immediately began the search here on Amazon for a product that would be portable, inexpensive and practical for keeping my laptop cool and at an angle. I searched and read everything on every product..and even ordered the $60. Aerogel lap pad that is falsely described as a lap desk (there will be a review on that thing elsewhere also). I decided to start at the bottom and work my way up on cost and practical use. GLAD I did! This two little metal braces are so simple to use and fit nicely in my laptop accessory bag. NO HEAT has been noticeable since the very first day I began to use them. NO slipping whatsoever. I consider this one of the greatest finds here on Amazon. I sent back the expensive product as soon as I took it out of the package. I would highly recommend this product and I think I will buy another pair of these in case for some reason I lose one or need another to leave in the house while the other pair stays in my travel bag.

I have been using this laptop stand now for the past few months and have found it exceptionally handy. One thing I love about it is the fact that I know it to be practically impossible to damage as it is constructed of stainless steel. It is super light and portable so I always have them in my laptop bag when I need them. I have used them frequently, especially in circumstances when I know that I will be at the keyboard for an extended period of time--taking pressure off of my wrists. A brilliantly simple product...it's only design limitation is that it may occlude some external ports, however I found it easy to circumvent by adjusting the laptop stand position. All in all, well worth the money if you need a space efficient and light laptop stand!

As the other reviewers have noted, this simple gadget works very well and is very convenient to travel with. It's a great alternative to a larger, more expensive stands. The small rubber tips grip the laptop sides securely, without any marks.

A couple of things to keep in mind: obviously, it is for use on a flat surface, so won't work in your lap. Also, if you must move your laptop often, you will have to hold both the clips and the laptop. Not difficult, but if you don't then one or both will slip off and your laptop will fall. And, to protect your hinge, be careful not to close your laptop all the way.

I love the portability of this laptop stand. It allows me to comfortably use my computer for long periods of time when I am away from home. The stand puts the screen closer to eye level and the tilt of the keyboard makes for more comfortable typing. I did not realize what a difference a laptop stand could make before using this product.

sure this is a great product, but it doesn't fit all laptops, if you have a laptop that has a flat bottom this will work perfect for you(macbook users) but for my laptop( asus g1s) the bottom has a curved edge, the stand doesn't lock in place

I have had the Latosta laptop stand for several weeks and have used it daily. It was very frustrating to start.

I have a 15" Toshiba Satellite laptop and I have found exactly one position that the stand can take that actually works well. I have to place it very precisely. If done just so, it works great. I had to reverse the stands, and have the longer leg on top of the keyboard and the shorter ones on the desk. I have to put them in exactly the same spot every time.

If I use them as recommended, with the shorter legs on top, it is quite unstable. A slight jostle would send the whole lot tumbling.

When you have the Latosta legs on, you must be very careful moving the laptop (like shifting it slightly to see the USB ports or moving a touch to the side to make room for a mouse.

When you have them on and adjusted and don't move the laptop around, it is very stable.

No more overheating, either.

So I guess this is a mixed review. I am glad I got them and I do use them daily. I kinda wish I got something a little different that would allow for using the laptop on a less stable desk and still work well.

It's simple, easy to use, does exactly what it says it will. My only issue is that I can't move the laptop or else it isn't in place anymore and that makes me nervous that the laptop will fall, but if you keep the laptop stationary, it's perfect. i ordered 2 more sets as gifts.

I have to give this a 4 star review, if only to give a slightly alternate viewpoint to all the rave reviews here. Don't get me wrong, this is a great product. Selling it for ten dollars is a ripoff, though...the manufacturing costs for this must be next to nothing. Also, it does not fit perfectly straight on the sides of the computer. While this in no way affects its functionality, it does make it a bit of a hassle to set it up evenly and to take it down. If you're someone who frequently moves your computer around the house with you, a more conventional stand might be preferable.

On the other hand, it works perfectly as a stand, is fully adjustable (although like I said you must spend a few seconds lining them up so that both are at the same height), and the 1/2 inch overhang doesn't even come close to getting in the way, which I was a little worried about. Also, for anyone who is primarily concerned with portability, this is the product for you. These take up virtually no space in any sort of laptop bag or case.

Overall, a functional and creatively designed product that is ideal for portability but slightly less than ideal for someone who is planning on moving their computer frequently between their desk and lap.

I love these. You can slip them in your notebook case and they take up no room at all. Use these at home and at work.
