No Marty,

This review is from: Ft. Lauderdale Dec 1992 (Audio CD)
Contrary to what the description says, Marty Balin does not appear on this recording. This concert was recorded before he rejoined and the band once again took the name Jefferson Starship. The line up on this concert is:
Paul Kantner - Guitar, Vocals, Slick Aguilar - Guitar Tim Gorman - Keyboard, Vocals, and Papa John Creach - Violin, Vocals I like Kantner, but his vocal abilities are not strong enough to carry the band without support from other lead and harmony vocalists. Tim Gorman and Papa John do not fit that requirement, although Papa John was a good fiddle player and a unigue artist. Kantner at least needs a female to sing harmony. You may have a different opinion, but just be forewarned about the absence of Marty Balin. Some of the songs, for instance "Volunteers" are just not the same without Marty.
