hey all,

I've followed Ms. GoLightly since her debut Super Electro single...
Her voice conjures sensous images, with an undertone of pain and disgust that forces you to empathize because we have all been hurt, we have all been attracted to some one, and sometimes we all just wanna a good time...:)
The music is primitive but a tangle of emotions reverberate through those battered sounding guitar amps.
She can send you on your way with "This Happens", but yearns for you one moment later in "Candle Song".
The variety of songs ranges from jazz, blues, to 60's influenced garage rock(think The Kinks).
"Sand" projects images of a lonely traveler seeking warmth, and at first Ms. Golightly sounds hesitant, but as the song progresses...

I never grow tired of listening to this record, the variety of music and Ms. Golightly's mood swings reveals a young woman who continues to release records at an astonishing rate, with emotional power and raw, lo-fi music to back her up.

Can't sit down with this album spinning. Think go-go boots in a polka dotted lifestyle when you toss this dish on your plate. Shake it crazy with originals and some rompin' r&b covers. Lend an ear to Holly's version of "It's All Over Now". Slide this one into your little girl's Britney Spears CD case.
