About the Author

Wayne Osmond’s career has stretched over 54 years as a member of The Osmond Brothers. He and his family have traveled the world singing, but his true passion is flying airplanes. A former pilot for Smith’s, Wayne’s proudest moment was flying with the Blue Angels. He and his wife, Kathy, have five children and thirteen grandchildren.

As we all know, some of the funniest moments come not from jokes but from life’s messy situations. I have been asked by hundreds of people questions like, “What’s it really like backstage?” “Are your brothers funny?” “Are you funny in real life?” and “What are your best memories?” I have some great stories about singing with Andy Williams, traveling in buses, rehearsing with my family, performing with animals, and many other situations that show business has a way of getting you into. I have also included some stories about me, written by my wife and children. Mostly, they’re about how “unique” I am. I thought they were funny, so I threw them into the mix.

At the request of my family, I have included some other personal memories about myself, my brothers, my sister Marie, and my mother and father. I kept a diary growing up, so I included a few entries that shed light on life as a young entertainer, family dynamics, and the amazing strength and dedication of my parents. These stories and memories are interspersed throughout the book.

Finally, what’s a book without pictures! In the book insert, you will find some of my all-time favorite pictures and captions that describe the event taking place. Jokes, stories, memories, and pictures—an eclectic book, to be sure. I hope you will find it fun to read, and maybe you’ll even find a new joke. Most importantly, I hope you’ll search through your own family memories and find, as I have, a lifetime of laughs!

You read stories from his kids talking about their dad and well I can see everything they said in my head as if I was there.

I didn't know what to expect from Wayne's book but JOKES, JOKES, JOKES!!! We got the book when visiting the Osmonds in Branson and on the way home I was reading out loud to my husband and friend the jokes, the stories, and more jokes. We laughed most of the way home. Wayne and his family both give an insight as to what it was like growing up to have Wayne as a father - and what a funny guy he really is - not only onstage, but in person!!!!

I love the book, the jokes, the family stories and even more - Wayne used some of my photos in his book!!!! Some great family photos.

This is the type of book one would like on the coffee table in the living room for all to enjoy. It's a reminder to see Life through sunny days, and remember the best of times, of each day. A sunny-side up reminder to walk away from the shadows that occur in life, and be thankful for what is there. This has been what the Osmond family has gifted this world with, plenty of sunshine to cast aside the cloudy times. What a great holiday gift to share with our loved ones. As has been said, laughter is the best medicine! LauraLee Slocum (formerly of NH and now of Idaho :-) )

Not only do you get the funny puns and one-liners that Wayne Osmond is famous for, but you also get a glimpse of what kind of man and father he is. I laughed out loud while reading it on a flight! Wayne is the real deal, and it shows from the recollections included from his family. There are stories from his many years in show business, including some of the less than glamourous aspects! You will enjoy it, and come to appreciate the Osmond family in the process.

Nevermind that Wayne was my teen crush for many years, I love this book and waited impatiently for it's release, not to be disappointed. I found the jokes to be refreshing, silly, and prone to make you smile, if not laugh out loud. No worries if your child picks up this book to read...no profanity or negative inuendo here. Even more delightful are the stories of Wayne as a brother, son and father. Laugh Lines is the kind of book you can read in in one sitting or in spurts, never feeling like you've lost your place and need to retrace your steps. An extra bonus is the collection of photographs of Wayne and his family members from to early years to present. You will welcome the few extra "Laugh Lines" that this book has added to your face!

This book was both entertaining and inspiring. Wayne has a way with words that makes it seem like he is talking directly with the reader.
I enjoyed his insights and his jokes. The jokes made me laugh out loud and brought back fond memories of when my friend and I used to travel to see the Osmonds many times each year.
The comments from his children and the excerpts from his Mother's and Father's writings were a nice addition. Kathy's tribute to her husband really touched my heart.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy an uplifting and funny book!

What a FANTASTIC book!!! I have always been a fan of the Osmonds and as I got older life kept me busy and i have not really been able to keep up with the joys in my life. But when I saw this book and that genuine smile of Wayne Osmond on the cover, i had to get it!! Well, I have to say I am very impressed with this book. Wayne has not only kept me all smiles with the jokes but there was also a smile on my face reading about his life, Wayne as a person, his family and some of the ups and downs too. I started reading and could not put this book down until the very end. Wayne, thanks for sharing your life with us and keeping us up to date with you and your family. I feel like I know you better as a person as you have opened your heart to us all! This is a great read for anyone that wants a good book with smiles in between. I hope the days and years ahead bring you nothing but joy, you deserve it. If anone has ever been a fan of Wayne or the Osmonds this is a great book to read, and if you haven't been a fan but want a great all around book to read, this it it!! Angela...
