This review is from: Laugh If You Like, Ain't a Damn Thing Funny: The Life story of Ralph ''Petey'' Greene as told to Lurma Rackley (Paperback)
I grew up in the DC area listening to WOL as a teenager, listening to the Moonman Show (Local Dj ,Broadcaster,Commentator), some of you remember him. This was the only station at the time that would play GO GO (Local and international FUNK,HOMEGROWN ya dig! Unfiltered!!) And Mr. Greene was a part the history of that station. All young black men 25-45 especially need to read this book it very relative an uplifting and bend over sideways funny.I recommened this life story to everyone!!

This review is from: Laugh If You Like, Ain't a Damn Thing Funny: The Life story of Ralph ''Petey'' Greene as told to Lurma Rackley (Paperback)
This book gives the reader a look at life in Washington DC from the perspective of someone who went through a personal transformation not of his own choosing.
Petey Greene had been a Korean War Veteran, a bum, a prisoner, a son, a brother, and a father whose mouth was either going to "get him rich or get him killed." The book not only is the story of Petey Greene in his own words. It takes us on the journey of his family, and their life experiences in the Georgetown section and U street sections of Washington, DC. A part of history too rarely considered. Buy it...read it...you'll be glad you did...
