Pezband was a Power Pop Band of the mid 70's. They released 3 albums, Pezband, Laughing in the Dark and Cover To Cover.This one, it's second and probably best album, is like the others a real POWER POP GEM. It is very sad that bands like this, that were better than most of the rest, didn't make it bigger in the 70's or later.Now I feel an increasing interest in groups like Pezband, Artful Dodger, Raspberries and many other highly underrated bands of the 70's.
RECOMMENDATION, if you can find any of their LP's BUY INMEDIATLY.

I think this album has their catchiest songs. I just saw them play in Chicago a few weeks ago and the songs from this LP really stood out. I would recommend buying this one first - in the LP cutout bins for 99 cents, natch.

First, let me say that I never had heard Pezband until last year when I went searching for 70's pop rock. I got the first one and was absolutely blown away by it- the songs where great. Well- I couldn't wait to get this one- Laughing In The Dark- and let me say I was a bit disappointed. The songs where not as catchy and the vocals sound like these guys were on the road all year screaming and lost all sense of tune. If you like the first- you might want to leave it at that. If you are curious about this band- definitey start with that one. Laughing In The Dark may leave you wishing you got your money back. One nice touch here- it includes the EP of live songs.
