Mark Rutland was a methodist minister who was fighting his own deep personal issues. He firmly held to his strong beliefs that the Holy Spirit was for our salvation only...he didn't want to hear about any 'empowering'. But the Lord had other plans. Mark had an 'earth shifting on its axis' encounter with the Holy Spirit. From that day forward, God used Mark in astounding miraculous ways. The salvations and healings poured forth as God showed up in His mighty awesome glory time after time. I read this book towards the beginning of 2011 and just finished it for the 2nd time this year (it is now August of 2011). What an amazing testimony of the grace of God to deliver a man from his demons of depression and launch him into a powerful world-wide soul-winning mission for Christ. You will be inspired and challenged in your walk with God in so many ways while reading this book. It also helps that Dr. Rutland, now President of Oral Roberts University, is a gifted wordsmith. The writing is superb and the story is even better. I highly recommend this book, especially for those who feel called to evangelism and/or missionary work.
