3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as i thought....3.5 stars
I had really high hopes with this book based on the title, cover, and the synopsis...but it ended up just being ok in my opinion. There were some parts that were really good, and i loved the way T.Styles wrote from many different points of view and tied them together, kinda like the movie Crash. There were some loose ends that I feel were never really tied up at the end...

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic, September 3, 2009
This review is from: The Face That Launched A Thousand Bullets (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Perfect Paperback)
T. Styles has clearly outdone herself. This book takes the movie Crash and combines it with The Wire and so many other epic movies and stories of our time, all while putting her own poetic spin on this amazing book. There were times while reading this book I literally felt my heart rate speed up and slow down all at the same time. The images painted were so vivid at times I felt my self on those very streets in Bmore. I felt the pain, the pleasure and the sheer gratification and agony that all the characters felt in every chapter. As long as the book was I silently prayed it was longer.

10 Stars for the most EPIC Urban book of the decade thus far.

The Face That Launched A Thousand Bullets launced a thousand tears and a thousand laughs.

Amazing Work Ms. T. Styles

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic...T. Styles has done it again., August 16, 2009
This review is from: The Face That Launched A Thousand Bullets (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Perfect Paperback)
I JUST finished reading this 10 minutes ago and I had to come place a review. I could not believe how many emotions I experienced while reading this book. It had me laughing, crying and I was even pissed at some characters from time to time. I LOVED this story! It has quickly become a FAVORITE of mine. I have not read a book that I consider a classic since "Be More Careful". T. Styles and The Cartel has not dissapointed me yet. Go get this book today!

This is one of the best books that I have ever read! At first, I was a little confused becaused they were so many characters, but boy when the story picked up, it really picked up! This story reminded me of the movie Crash, all of the characters lives intertwined somehow. Anyway, very good read and I would highly recommend that you buy and read this book!

I had really high hopes with this book based on the title, cover, and the synopsis...but it ended up just being ok in my opinion. There were some parts that were really good, and i loved the way T.Styles wrote from many different points of view and tied them together, kinda like the movie Crash. There were some loose ends that I feel were never really tied up at the end of the book. Some parts that were written seemed uneccessary, and there were alot of typos in the book, like it wasn't edited. All of that aside, the book was a good read if your in the mood to read a book. It would also be a good book club book, alot of debatable topics in the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars STR8 FIRE!, October 13, 2009
This review is from: The Face That Launched A Thousand Bullets (The Cartel Publications Presents) (Perfect Paperback)
This book was so good I haven't read a book this good with so many levels since Daddy's Little girl by Brittani Williams. The way T. Styles gave all the back story on each character made this book so good. This book made me put it down a few times and say OMG! I wish Tiara's story was longer and not so rushed, but an excellent story! This will be your best read of 2009 I promise!

Once I was able to figure out the connection of the excessive amount of characters, I found it very hard to put this book down.

I havent read a 5 star book in awhile,But im happy to say that The Face That Launched 1000 Bullets is it!! This is the best T.Styles book that I have ever read, she did a great job with the characters and storylines. It was quite a few main characters introduced but they all played a significant role in the story. The most exciting thing about reading this book was waiting to see how she tied everything together and at the end I was very satisfied.Alot of readers may agree that Nyzon was their favorite character, and he was,But I also have to say that I loved Royala and Markise.Royala proved that she could hang with the big dogs even though she was a female, and Markise stayed true to himself and had a mind of his own.

The only thing I could have done without, was the typos and names in the wrong places.I also wish the author could have went more into Tara and Tiara's point of view when they hit that downfall.I was very curious about that situation.Other than that, this book is a must read and you wont be dissapointed!
