young artists get exposure,
This review is from: Launching the Imagination: A Guide to Three-Dimensional Design (Paperback)
This is an inspiring and analytical guide book, but anyone looking for an art recipe book will be disappointed. If there is anything young artists want, need, and yet often lack, is exposure to a broad range of artworks. This book offers a great beginning to this journey of understanding art/design with cover to cover juxtapositions of cartoons and cubism, Monet and Sam Francis, and sculpture and furniture design.I am also strongly in favor of Stewart's basic philosophy of pointing out the ideas and visual strategies behind the making of an artwork. This is a great companion to a studio course of beginning design and sculpture.

There's information about pieces and pretty pictures but that's really it. I would not recommend this to teachers for courses, all of us hated it and the information that you think we're learning from it, we're not....
