The bucket is handcrafted from sturdy clear glass with two curved side handles for hooking over your fingers. The bucket's foot is weighted while the sides are light, so it is stable without being clunky. Thanks to the slightly indented foot and fluted mouth, pouring ice cubes out or removing a bottle is easy. Standing 8 inches tall, the bucket has a 7-1/4-inch diameter at the opening and a 5-1/4-inch diameter at the base. I received my ice bucket and there were multiple flaws in the glass, "chunks" of sharp unmelted glass, black spots and bubbles. The pitcher arrived with the same glass flaws so I am guessing these are seconds not first quality. Both went back, I am waiting for my refund now!

Looks better than pic on web site. Is streamlined and elegant looking. The condition was perfect. I had none of the problems stated by another reviewer. That said I have not used yet - but it looks GREAT in my china cabinet.
