Love this product,

This is the greatest eye primer around.I have been afraid to experiment with eye primer, for fear that they would give my 61 year old eyelids to made up and cakey a look.
Well I was wrong. This comes in a tube like the gloss lipsticks. It is very east to apply and does not cake, as well as it has botanicals in it that help the lids to appear younger. I had the demo at the Laura Mercier counter and was very surprised at the result, so ordered this product. The eye primers come in different shades and the one I have is Buff.It matches my skin tone and so does not appear thick on eyelids. And the bonus is your eye shadow really does stay on for all day, with creases or just fading away.... I will buy more....

Best Eye Base Ever,
By

This is by far the best eye lid base I've tried and I've tried a lot! It goes on smoothly, covers dark spots, veins, etc.and even helps smooth out "the droop". Brightens the entire eye and is a neutral color. It also helps my eye shadow stay on all day. Perfect!

Excellent Eyeshadow Base,

I bought the Eye Basics in Wheat after trying out my friend's. It works very well as an eyeshadow base, and just as well on its own. My eyeshadow lasted much longer when I used the Eye Basics as a base. On its own, it covers up imperfections on the lid - veins, redness, etc. - and gives you a much more polished, awake look. Concealers are usually too thick for use on the lid, and this product was just perfect, not too creamy, not too thick. I did not notice any caking or creasing either. I've also used the lighter color, Linen, just on the inside corners of my eyes to brighten them up.

i'm a mom of 2 small babies and expecting anther in a few months..that being said, i have very little time to spend putting on makeup, and have no time for touch ups, and also am always tired and feeling a mess. that being said, i highly reccomend this product to anyone who wants to look put together with as little effort as possible. i got it in Wheat, it blends naturally with my skin tone, covers the dark circles on top of my eyes, and my eyeshadow stays on all day. even without eye shadow the product looks great for a more natural look. i will definatly being trying some of the other shades as well, just for fun & because this is such a great product.

Laura Mercier makes some of the finest products on the market today. Hers is a trusted name synonymous with quality. Her eye basics line is no exception. While meant to be used on the eye lid as a base for powder and shadows, I use it as under eye camouflage as well as a cover up cream for problem areas. It is smooth, creamy and long wearing. It looks and feels natural and stays in place all day long. While a bit pricey it is worth it and I will order it again. I never look like I am wearing makeup and that is important as I am a man who has rosacea.

This is a great eye shadow primer. It absolutely does not crease. I have very oily skin and have tried several eye shadow primers and by the end of the day, they have all creased on my eye lids. The Laura Mercier primer lasts through my 12 hour hospital shift and even into the night. I love the Linen color. I have very light skin with freckles and this complements nicely. I currently use it as a base and as my "lighter color" for my eyelids. It eliminates the need for applying a separate lighter eye shadow color. It really is a wonderful product.

Product provides no coverage. I did not like at all. Once you try, they cannot take back, so you are stuck with another worthless, expensive cosmetic.

This product was supposed to arrive from January 5, 2012 to January 10, 2012. It arrived on January 3rd. It is THE best primer I've ever tried. I have REALLY oily eyelids. My eyeliner and eyeshadow stayed on perfectly. No creasing, no fading, no anything. SO wonderful. I will be repurchasing for the rest of my life. If you're in need of a good primer, I definitely recommend this one.
