flawless finish,
This review is from: Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15 (Misc.)
Laura Mercier is my favorite line, because it is made with "skin sensitivity" in mind. If you want mineral powder, but want something different from bare minerals, this is it! The ultra-fine mineral powder sets my makeup (tinted moisturizer from L.M.) and creates a porcelain-like finish. I use it with a powder brush (you can buy the L.M. powder brush $52) or find a cheaper alternative, and lightly apply it in a circular motion all over your face, after doing my eyeshadow, and then I apply powder blush. It doesn't irritate my skin (as I have eczema), and a small amount of this goes a long way. The size of the container is almost as big as the base of your normal coffee mug, so that's a lot of product. And the container is good for travel because you can twist the inner cover to cover the holes which distribute the powder. So far, I've had mines since Feb. 2007 and I'm no where close to being done with it.

This product works!! I was amazed,
This review is from: Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15 (Misc.)
I have tried tons of products to cover my old acne scars and they always wear off quickly or it looks like I have caked on makeup.
I use only 2 products from Laura Mercier and I look like I have flawless skin all day. I first use the camouflage for the dark spots or blemishes ( just on the spots) and then lightly bush the powder over my entire face and I honestly look like I have flawless skin. I have also noticed that my skin is looking healthier. I never write reviews but I really wanted to share with other women who suffer with these issues and have tried every kind of makeup there is out there to cover up there blemishes. This product really works.

Light yet complete coverage, lovely!,

tried this product thinking it would be like the other mineral foundations and powders I've tried, but was pleasantly surprised. I love the touted benefits of these products: healing your skin, preventing aging, SPF protection, etc.. but could never find one that didn't make me look like grandma with her pancake makeup (bless her heart). This one is a keeper. Made my skin look dewy yet flawless (meaning the coverage works!). And stayed on. I think my skin actually feels softer as well. No cons here. And the final clincher -- the price is so right.

The Perfect Mineral Makeup,

I hate looking like I'm wearing makeup, but I've finally reached that stage in life where rolling out of bed and wandering out the door doesn't cut it anymore. After years of experimenting, I know what I want: I want to look polished and yet natural, and just as importantly I want to FEEL natural. I won't wear liquid foundation because I can't stand the way it feels; I also have extremely sensitive skin, so that makes it even more complicated.
This is my perfect mineral foundation! It goes on effortlessly, feels like nothing, lasts all day, comes right off when I wash my face, and looks like a million bucks. I've been using the same pot for 8 months and it's still going strong. Out of the 6 or so I've tried, Laura Mercier's mineral foundation is by far the best. Dust on a light coat to take the edge off, or get artistic with your concealer and kabuki brush and look absolutely flawless; it's impossible to make it look bad. (My one tip is to make sure your face is sufficiently moisturized before application. Because it's a powder, not a liquid, your skin needs to be moisturized [or naturally oily] to ensure the most flawless finish. I've never found it necessary to use a formal primer or finishing powder, though of course L.M. offers both if you prefer.)

Great foundation,

Great one step makeup for everyday use (I usually skip the primer and finishing powders). Smooths out my complexion and instantly gives great glowing skin. Get good compliments about my skin because it covers up everything from dark circles, freckles to wrinkles without the obvious appearance of makeup. It has never caused break outs or contact dermatitis on my sensitive skin. Same container has lasted me eight months because don't need much.

I love love love love LOVE this product!! The coverage is great (though a little more full than I'd like), however it covers ALL blemishes perfectly. I recently had an AWFUL experience at the salon which left my face COMPLETELY broke out and this is the only thing that really helps to cover blemishes, even MAJOR ones. It's great, and it's good for you too!

The Best!,

This is the best mineral make-up out there! I have used Bare Minerals and PUR mineral make-ups but the colors aren't right and the coverage isn't as good. The Tender Rose is perfect for my skin tone and gives me a beautiful finish. I'm 59 years old and worried that using a powder make-up would enhance any wrinkles I may have but Laura Mercier doesn't! It looks great all day and doesn't feel heavy like some liquid foundations.

I used real sand color (I'm Nude in LM tinted moisturizer) and wanted to love it. The quality is great, very fine powder, but it gives sheer to moderate coverage which wasn't enough for me-I had to layer too way much product to have similar effect like with other mineral make up (BE, jane Iredale, Lancome etc).
I also like dispenser, spill free, great for travel. I also think that LM use too much package for the product, make it smaller (container is the biggest I saw in mineral foundations), without the box, and lower the price.

I have it in tender rose which is real nice in the summer, but in the winter when i get pale I use the silk creme foundation in ivory beige. I apply it with a kabuki brush to give more coverage and i get tons of compliments on the clarity of my skin. I highly recommend to anyone.
