Laurel Burch Christmas is a great book for quilters who like lots of color and "folk art". There are several quilts that interest me and instructions/guides are easy to follow. Her quilts are always FUN to make and to receive.

I first purchased a piece of work by Miss Burch in the early 80's, a pair of bird-head earrings. I have admired her amazing work since then. Sadly, Laurel passed away in 2007. Her creative talent will live on forever, that's how great she was. I have a full library of her work, just amazing, and her life story . . . also amazing. Go to her web site and see an interview with her, it will give you a new perspective on Miss Laurel Burch. She inspires me so. Every book of her work, or postcards, purses, jewelry, whatever it is will brighten your spirit.

i truly love laurel burch designs and was very saddened by her death. i feel this book has some cute ideas, just probably not stuff i will make.
