This review is from: Laurel & Hardy: Men O'War [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Laurel and Hardy are so funny comedians. I love this movie especially Jimmy Finlayson who was so funny and best supporting star. I like some part about fighting, and boats flipped over, and police coming to stop the fights. Laurel and Hardy are best ones today and are in my heart forever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Laurel & Hardy as a couple of sailors out for a good time, May 23, 2001
This review is from: Laurel & Hardy: Men O'War [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Laurel & Hardy are a couple of sailors on leave who pick up a couple of girls in the park and head off for a good time even though they only have 15 cents between them. The best gag is when Hardy finds a pair of white panties and assumes that is what the young flapper, who is looking for her gloves, has lost. Poor Ollie end up in one of the funniest routines involving dialogue from an early Laurel & Hardy talkie. "Men O'War" ends with the boys taking the girls boating, at which point wackiness ensues. This 1929 two-reeler directed by Lewis Foster from a Leo McCarey story, is one of the few Laurel & Hardy comedies shot entirely on location.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great short from the masters!, June 12, 2000

Men O' War is a great film. There is really never a dull moment. It starts with the Boys being confused about 2 women (They lost something and the boys think that it is something else!). Of course, it leads into the great Soda Fountain Routine. A classic that will keep you laughing for a while!
