Early Talkie Slapstick With Stan and Ollie,
By
This review is from: Laurel & Hardy: The Hoose-Gow [VHS] (VHS Tape)
"The Hoose-Gow" (1929) remains among the best Laurel and Hardy two-reelers from the talkie transition. Shot outdoors, this early sound effort avoids the stage-bound claustrophobia that plagued "Berth Marks" and "They Go Boom." Stan and Ollie handle the familiar slapstick with gusto - highlighted by a messy rice-throwing brawl. No match for the team's silent classics, but undeniably funny.

Laurel & Hardy are in trouble again,
This review is from: Laurel & Hardy: The Hoose-Gow [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The boys find theirselves in the hoosegow. While working on a road gang the governor pays a visit. The boys accidently puncture the
radiator of the governor`s car and it all goes down hill from there. A very funny L&H short film.
