When I first bought these two recordings I did not realize that each purchase was a two CD set. There is a enormous amount of gorgeous solo flute literature that flautist, Laurel Zucker, makes available to her listeners. The music is so tuneful and varied that I never weary of listening to the four discs over again.

I agree with all the praise for Laurel Zucker's performances, however the program is not listed on the front or back of the CD cover. In future pressings include the music on the cover and Cantilena Records will get many more customers for the CD. Suggestion aside, as a listener one can expect two hours of nonstop flawless flute playing.

Laurel's Tango Etudes are by far the best version I've heard. Nobody plays these with as much passion and fire as she does. Her choice of solo literature contains so many works I've never heard before and I have really enjoyed listening to them and learning them on my own flute. THANK YOU LAUREL for sharing with us.

Laurel Zucker performs two full disc of solo flute music that many flutists may not be familiar with, but should be. All the music is performed with excellence and great understanding.
