This book was published in 1955--long out of print. Applause
put out a paperback ($9.95) in the 1990s which I've love to own. (I have two hardbound copies myself!) The subject is the celebrated actress Laurette Taylor (1884-1946). Her daughter has written a very insightful, compelling portrait of her mother--inherently brilliant whose alcoholism nearly destroyed her career. |
