This bag is all about the details. Really *Good* details.

I have a 15.6" HP laptop, with that bulky battery on the back, and wanted a bag that would let me put it in *without* having to take off the battery. This works perfectly!

I also wanted a bag that would work well for me for travelling with my laptop. This might not be the most conducive for going through security, but since they keep changing how we go through security... it's easier for me to be adaptable with a great bag. I like using a bright color for my travel stuff (luggage, etc.) to make them easier to spot.

I think the picture represents the colors very well. This bag appeals to me, because it wasn't boring black, and was a bit feminine (Red Blossom). I also like the light colored lining. Dark linings often end up being a black hole where I lose pens, jump drives, etc.

The connections that hold down the outside flap are perfect. Not time-consumingly awkward to open, but sturdy and secure. The zippers all seem to be heavy duty. The side pocket conceals a net perfect for holding a water bottle, or a compact umbrella.

The flat pocket hidden by the flap was a welcome surprise. I hate to carry a purse when I'm wearing a backpack, and this seems like a pretty secure place that would be challenging for someone to access without your knowledge.

The shoulder straps have some comfort padding to them, and there is also some shoulder and back padding... perfect, since the laptop would gouge your spine otherwise! It's not so heavily padded that you feel like you're wearing a pillow, or can't negotiate narrow places (crowds, etc.). Also, the handle on the top is a good design for picking up the bag without having to put it on.

This bag just seems very well organized, with lots of compartments and pockets for organizing the odds and ends. And *plenty* of space for some extra non-laptop stuff, without feeling like a sherpa on an Everest expedition. I LOVE a good bag, and this is great.

Okay. First off, this thing is HUGE! I'm 5'7" and by no means a small girl. BUT, unless you're Mary Poppins and can make your 15"+ laptop fit in a smaller bag, then get a different bag. I have a Macbook Pro 15.4" with a neoprene case and it fits perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose when I put it in my bag.

Some things that I REALLY love about this bag are...
+ INCREDIBLY durable. This will last!
+ There are multiple secluded compartments. 2 zippered (laptop sized) compartments, 2 smaller (zippered/Mac charger sized) compartments.
+ WATERPROOF!
+ Modern snaps
+ The bottom of the backpack has hard plastic spikey-type panels to help your bag stay clean, upright, and not get worn out.
+ Comfortable straps and back-padding
+ Multiple security straps for across chest and waist. But, not too many where it's going to make you look like you're trekking across the Himalayas.-- whether you choose to wear them or not. They neatly tuck away so there's not straps dangling every area.
+ Sleek design (not bulky!)
+ VERY secure. You won't be worried that someone's getting into your bag.
+ Surprisingly spacious (you can carry a lot other than your laptop without it feeling like your stuffing the bag to capacity.

Only con: the size (on my back), but again how else are you going to carry a large laptop comfortably and securely?

Overall, I highly recommend this bag. I was weary about the cost, but this will last me a very, very long time.

I am very satisfied with the quality. When my laptop and books are in it, the weight it distributed evenly. The inside has two main compartments. The rear one has a space for a laptop and a space for other items (books, whatever). The front large compartment has a net that divides it into two. Besides the two small pockets visible just below the flap, there is one more thin one that has spaces for a cell phone, pens, and cards--you could also put papers, a little book, and other small objects in that pocket. I bought this backpack for it's look and ability to carry a laptop. I had no idea what kinds of pockets/compartments were in it, so I'm glad I get to tell others.

I've had this backpack for six months, and it is amazing. Plenty of padded room for large laptops, a thick book on programming, lunch, baby diapers, an extra change of clothing, and a few paper notebooks plus lots of great little pockets for cell phone, pens, business cards . . . I even found a great pocket to use to stash my Kindle! One zipper on the side holds a mesh water-bottle holder that has been very useful, but can be packed away when it's not needed so it doesn't hurt the look of the bag. The flap over the top guarantees that rainy weather (like here in Seattle) won't soak through the cloth near the zippers and ruin your books (or worse). The bottom of the bag has rubber "feet" that keep the bag mostly off of the ground when set down in an upright position - this can be nice when you want to set your bag down on the rain-soaked sidewalk, perhaps to retrieve your bus pass or your reading book.

The hip and waist belts help a lot when walking a long distance, and have helped me on those occasions when I needed to catch a bus a mile or two away. However, the padded, shaped shoulder straps on their own are very comfortable, and the back has extra padding to make the bag yet more comfy to wear without fiddling with those extra straps. In fact, the weight is so well distributed and padded that I can't always tell if I remembered to pack my 7-lb. laptop, and have needed to double-check because I was so incredulous that the bag was so comfortable when it was also so full. The bag itself is surprisingly heavy, but designed so well that it is still easier to wear than many lighter-weight bags.

The print is at least as lovely on the actual bag as it looks in the picture. As a woman in a male-dominated profession, I appreciate the slightly-feminine designs. I got the butterfly / beige backpack, and was concerned that the print would wear off. I needn't have worried. The print is bonded very well to the surface of the bag, and I couldn't even scratch it off with my fingernail . . . I just tried. The bag's material is easy to wipe down if it gets dirty. I use this bag heavily, and it doesn't show any signs of wear yet - not even at the tops nor the bottoms of the straps. I am routinely complimented by people on the attractiveness of the bag. The size is a little large - great if you have a large laptop! - but the excellent styling makes it seem more reasonable, and people comment on how it doesn't seem too big like other laptop containers. The bag is actually huge, so this impression is due primarily to the excellent design.

I'm one of those people who always has ideas about what would make a product more useful for me. Try as I might, I can only come up with one change I would make to this product: A good place to attach a carabiner.

What I love about this bag:
+Super cute, I get compliments on it all the time
+Fits everything I need for my 4 college courses + personal items
+I live in an area with lots of snow, which means sometimes I put it on the floor without realizing there is melted snow there (not a huge puddle, mind you) this bag does not look dirty after a semester of abuse. Also, even in pretty snowy weather I have not had an issue with papers getting wet =)
+a pen exploded in one pocket (MASSIVELY) and because of the padding between the mess was contained. Even when I got many wet paper towels and spray bottles involved none of the other pockets were influenced by the trauma. (this was the third largest pocket). The fabric was actually pretty easy to clean & did not stain (it was a pink gel pen for the curious)

What I am okay with:
+Size- its huge, I am 5' 4" girl college student of average build. This backpack makes me look like I am going on a mountain hike. On some teeny tiny "dancer" bodies this bag would just look crazy! But, because it is so well padded and does hold everything I am okay with the hiker look (even when it's empty and I put it on it is still a LARGE bag)
+it works for a 13" macbook. I use a neoprene case too just because the pocket is big.

What I hate:
+all the zipper pulls keep pulling off! obviously I can buy more zipper pulls. But, it really is annoying. (this is where I deducted the star)

This bag is incredible! Awesome quality and so big. I have a very large 17inch HP with an extended battery on it and it fits with room to spare. If you have anything smaller than a 17inch laptop, get something smaller. The pockets are very useful and it is comfortable to wear. I am very impressed with it.

I love this backpack! It has lots of compartments for every tech necessity. I keep my 17 inch macbook pro, ipod, camera, ipad, cords, flash drives, office supplies (pens, post-its...) and paperwork in it. Even with all this in it, the backpack feels light. It is exactly what I was looking for.

I brought this backpack in May, my problem with this is that about 2 to 3 weeks after I started using this I noticed that the stitching in the first partition, separating the main storage area from the second storage area had started to unravel on both sides, I brought this because of the great reviews it got and also because it fitted with what I wanted. Most of the unraveling is at the top of the bag.

This is the only issue I have seen so far. The backpack is great, it holds my dell 15R nicely and has plenty of room and pockets for other stuff. The only problem is the unraveling, I don't know if it is due to poor stitching or just wear and tear as I said I have only had this backpack for about a month.

I recommend if you buy this product check it carefully for any flaws, if you find any you should send it back right away.

its great looking, but i don't use it because its much bigger than i thought it would be... but that is my fault to not realize the size needed to hold a large laptop! i'm 5'4" 135 lbs, and this backpack looks like i'm going mountain climbing

This backpack is perfect! It fits my 17" laptop, has extra pockets for papers, cords, misc. and pens. It is durable and sturdy! Perfect! worth the money!
