Blew My Mind,

Ok fellow rivetheads, lets face it, we've been bombarded with a lot of crap in our genre the past few years. future-pop came and got old in less than a year. ebm isn't even ebm anymore. trance has polluted our music for way too long and it's time for a change. And after listening to Das Ich's new album, I'm starting to get some hope. Growling vocals, great, hard beats, unbelievable synths and sequences. This album is freaking wicked. The opening track Uterus is the highlight of the album to me. I wasn't sure of it when I first heard it, but then the chorus came up. BAMMMM!!! Wicked, wicked song. I can't say this is Das Ich's best album, but it's totally worth buying.

Better to Reign in Hell...,

Das Ich- the epitome of what makes good industrial techno. Evil lyrics, complex beats, and vocals to send chills down your spine. Danceable and addictive, this CD is a must have for fans of Rammstein looking to expand their horizons, and a good match for those who appreciate Megaherz, Eisbrecher, Tanzwut, and In Extremo. A league above Funker Vogt or Hanzel und Gretyl.

Somewhat Disappointing,

I hope this album isn't a sign of things to come. After quite a few brilliant Dark Industrial albums full of complex arrangements and heavy machine-like beats, I never thought that Das Ich would begin to go full-on Disco. I guess that's what happens when you're on the Metropolis label. Your music starts to sound like every other beepy boopy release on that label. It's really unfortunate because Das Ich has always been above that sort of fluff. They waved the flag of true dark Industrial music during the Cyber-Pop and Trance plagues that even infected Wumpscut. This album however is a mixed bag. There are about 4 or 5 songs that I would consider to be classic material. Obviously forward thinking and not a rehash of old ideas, but hard, pounding, grating and epic Industrial beauty. The rest of the songs are simply too Dance oriented for me, too Disco. I listen to them and I feel like I've been defiled by PVC and bright colored hair extensions. This means that I skip over half the songs on this album. However, I still have to respect Mr. Kramm. His ingenious use of synth and sampling is still present and still inspiring. I just hope this isn't a sign that Das Ich will be turning down Dark-Tech road from now on. This is still an album worth owning for the few good songs and also for the multimedia track which features footage from their 2002 tour.

I Jus tpurchased this album yesterday, i'Ve listened to it twice, and I was a little unhappy... WHY? well because the songs dont hold your attention, maybe because i am not german and I dont understand the lyrics, but the music ITSELF, I am a big INDUSTRIAL lover! I love bands like Suicide Commando, Velvet Acid Christ, Feindflug, Fonker Vogt, In Strict Confidence, Flesh Field, etc... But what they all have in common is that musically they keep you awake, either by teh singing, or by the music itself. This Album of Das Ich, I only recomment to Die Hard fans who want to make the whole collection of the band. Why do I say this CD is boring, well each and every song isalmsot the same, they ressemble very much, with a few differences here and tehre, but not enough to.. example: I was listenning to the CD and 3 sogns had passed by, and I hadnt even realized, maybe was i tired, but i'Ve been playing the CD all day, and I jsut dont see the difference between the songs VERY VERY much, I lvoe Das Ich, and would give it a 4 Stars, but the CD isnt to the level of the other Industrial CD's I own... It might be a mater of time b4 I enjoy the CD more, and if my opinion changes i'll review it also!OVER AND OUT!
