Great light for a Toastmasters Timing Light. Easy to make modifications to convert the flashing lights to three independently operating lights. Install a flip-type switch or a push button switch on each of the three lights. Then simply change out the flasher light bulb with a steady burning light bulb (using clear Christmas light bulbs.)

Bought this light/lamp for my son's big-boy room. It's more durable than a similar $60 version that I bought and returned from Pottery Barn kids. The only downside is that it runs on 3 AA batteries (not included) OR a power cord that is also not included. Still need to track down where to buy that cord.

I bought this as a birthday present for a cars obsessed 4 year old, it was fantastic! Its very lightweight easily mounted on the wall or placed on a shelf or dresser. It was a great size, 16 inches tall. he was over the moon about it! Great for any pixar cars nut or car nut in general!

I bought this light, in August 2011, to use at a Toastmasters meeting. This light was made by the Lava Lite company. Item # 1815. Size: 15.5 inch tall x 5.5 inch wide x 3.5 inch deep. LED lights. Can set on a table or mount on a wall. Uses 3-AA batteries, or a 4.5 V DC 100 mA electric adapter. (Have to buy the adapter separately, which is okay with me, because it keeps the cost down.) When I turn it on, it automatically goes through the colors: red to yellow to green and repeats. Stays on each color for 2 seconds. It doesn't blink. Doesn't go red-blink-blink-blink then yellow-blink-blink-blink, etc. It stays a solid red color for 2 seconds, then solid yellow for 2 seconds, etc.

I bought it to use it at a Toastmasters meeting. To find parts, I went to 6 different stores. I wanted a switch that would go off-green-yellow-red. Never did find it. From Radio Shack, I bought three 2-way toggle switches + resistors = $25. A friend from Toastmasters rewired the inside. From Home Depot, I bought a 1/2 inch drill bit, $5. It took me time to drill the holes, then solder the wires inside. I bought 3-AA batteries, $5. It's finally done. Each light is on/off, just like lights in a bedroom. The Toastmasters timer (a person) will have to turn off the green light, and then turn on the yellow light. A minute later, turn off the yellow, on turn on the red, etc. It words great, but, beware - from the time I ordered it from Amazon, to the time it was finished - it took me 20 hours and cost $ 60. In the end, I'm glad I did it. It's lightweight, can easily move around the room, and I don't have to worry about an electric cord. I hope this review helps someone.

Excellent for Toastmaster's but not as easy as stated. That was the old style with replacement christmas lights, the new style is LED's and it's a little tricky to modify but can easly be done with a little electrical knowledge.

Hello. I intended to purchase this product for toastmasters. When you buy it at first the lights flash randomly. It also doesn't come w/ an adapter or batteries so you can add an additional $25-30 to the product cost. You would have to get the timing light programmed to have it light up manually. After I spent about $90 on it w/ cost to have the device programmed it functions fine.

I got this for my son to have in his "transportation" themed room. He loves it! The only thing I would change is I'd have a setting where you could make it work like a real stoplight, not just flash. But I'm very pleases with my purchase!

My Grandson had 1 of these forever , but it was broken by accident and he really missed it so. I looked in stores , but could not find it, but as Luck would have it I found it on here. I really think you can find just about any thing on Amazon. Love this site. Thank you for making a Little boys Christmas wish come true.
