The lava lamp I received is cloudy and the black wax appears to bubble up after a while. I contacted Amazon customer service to see if I could get an exchange and they told me to contact the manufacturer. I have attempted to contact the manufacturer since the 1st week of January and they have yet to return my calls or respond to my email inquiries. I would not buy a similar product from here ever again.

I saw product reviews about the 52 oz lava lamp not working properly and a few other things but I took a chance and it was well worth it. Works as advertised and it way to addicting to just stare at it while it does it's stuff. Takes about an hour to warm up and after about 8 hours (recommended shut off time) it all tries to stay at the top of the lamp so you'll want to be shutting it off as recommended. Besides, who needs a lava lamp running 24/7? If you have wanted a lava lamp as much as I did, this is a great buy.

It's a nice lamp and looks great, but there are little flakes of stuff floating in the fluid. Amazon was great and did an exchange and even sent the replacement overnight at no charge. Unfortunately the second still had little flakes in it. Giving it four stars because of Amazon's outstanding service!
