The light is cool but I don't recall seeing that the plug was included. I had to order it from lava lite.com and it was an additional $11. I don't mind using batteries, but it would have been a 5 star rating if the adapter plug came with it and not as something extra I had to find out when the shipment came. Bummer. I just had the light for a month now and it won't work with batteries or the adapter. Really not worth buying.

I knew this was a toy when I ordered it. Frankly, it's not a half bad little effects light. It kind of works a bit like a moon-flower light with flashing red, green, and blue snow-flake, or star shaped patterns. They flash at a rate that works well with fast paced music.

The main thing I did not appreciate, was the fact that there was no power adaptor, which should have been included, and not held back from the unsuspecting customer who must then "buy" the adaptor. This costs us more in terms of shippig. I think the manufacturer needs to rethink it's business model here.

However. This toy does do a pretty good job as an effects light for filling in an otherwise dark, and dead corner at parties.

It's body is made of metal, and seems fairly durable.

By the way, if you place one of these next to a laserpod, or laser sphere, the two work very well together to produce an interesting effect. :)

My only suggestion that would make this thing even better, albeit with a slightly higher price, of course, would be to have it sound activated.

It's a great product for its price. The only turn down is the lack of ac adapter. It comes withut any power source. You have to buy three AAA batteries for it to work. They should include an adapter. Otherwise it's amazing. You'll need to turn lights off for a better result.

We do live concerts on the internet. I bought one of these because it was so cheap. I'm ordering more because this one has been so great.

My female partner loves this light. It produces very bright output for a little flashing battery powered gadget. She often hand holds this light to shine on other stage performers, this creates a fun psychodelic look that can only be described as RETRO.

We mainly use it on-stage and it's a fun effect for that. It's on for 3 to 5 hours a week and we're still on our first set of batteries (LED lights don't use much current). We're looking to add a few more and drive them with AC power supplies so we can turn them on and off with our DMX controlled light show.

This is a fun light for the price. Use it with a fog machine and you're in for some serious effect lighting.

We've found this to be a fun and easy toy for my 3 and 6 year
old boys. They are rough with toys, and yet we've had no issues
with this light. It's fun for them to put on in their rooms at
night and watch the colors on the ceiling. And we've had it for
over 4 months and the batteries still haven't worn out. It's
nice not to have it have to plug in, since I don't want my 3 year
old trying to use plugs in the house. Really fun and and easy
to operate!

I like the light but it came with the switch somewhat broken. When switching back from still mode to flash mode it doesn't always do it. The light patters are pretty basic nothing really neat or anything. Not happy with the switch being broken but making it work.

I ordered one for my daughter and one for her cousin. Unfortunately, one worked and one didn't. And more unfortunately, her cousin unwrapped hers on Christmas eve. The light turned on, but didn't change color or switch from pattern to pattern like my daughters. My daughter's worked fine, and is super cute. It's not a disco light or a rotating light, however, so it does get a little repetitive and "blinky."
