It basically separates what IS and what IS NOT Wicca. It's a great book to give to parents, police officers, whomever you want to know about Wicca. It's written by a Wiccan Police Officer especially for giving to other police agencies. I use it every time I'm having a public ritual, I meet with the police, tell them what we're going to be doing and why so there will be no misunderstandings. Then I give them a copy of the book to keep for reference. It's fairly innexpensive so I can do that. I also gave it to my folks when I wanted to tell them about being a Wiccan. I've also shown it to prospective girlfriends who weren't into Wicca. It's a great introduction. The author is also a founder of a Wiccan anti defamation organization so is a pretty cool dude. I really liked this book. I bought all three editions. I probably have bought dozens of copies over the years. You've GOT to have this one in your library.

This book about Wicca and other Neopagan religions is written from a unique perspective: the author is both a Wiccan and a police officer in British Columbia, Canada. It is an excellent antidote to so many hate-motivated books about Wicca written by non-Neopagans, and anti-cult authors. Every Neopagan should have a copy on hand, particularly if they live in an area where law enforcement has attended "Satanic Ritual Abuse" misinformation seminars.

I have used this book when lecturing about Neo-pagan religions. It helps define the basic beliefes and myths about Neo-pagan Witchcraft. The author has presented the subject in a way that is unique and well researched.
