The flashcards are a great way to review the material covered in class both before and after the material has been presented. Using the flashcards helps lessen the time studying for finals.

IF your teacher can't teach the class--this will come through in a clutch--use it with EZ Rules of Evidence as well as Examples and Explanations!

This is an excellent way to learn the Federal Rules of Evidence as quickly and efficiently as possible. Using the flash cards every day is an important tool to grasping the difficult subject matter of evidence.

5.0 out of 5 stars First A in Law School, August 23, 2011
This review is from: Law in a Flash: Evidence (Cards)
I highly recommend this. They are very helpful at giving you the law you need to know. They explain F.R.E. and common law (although my final didn't cover common law). The most extensive portion of these cards is the Hearsay section. The cards will give you the rule and explain it, and then it will ask hypotheticals to help further your understanding of the rule. ALSO, I highly suggest getting the Student's Guide to Hearsay book. It will help you know fully understand hearsay. With these two items, you will be confident by the time of the exam.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best study guides on the market, December 19, 2010
This review is from: Law in a Flash: Evidence (Cards)
I find Law in a Flash to be the best study guides out there because they promote active learning. I bought a few Emmanuel outlines but could find no way to read those given their length and the amount of other course material I had. Law in a Flash, on the other hand, is an outstanding complement to coursework. After finishing the coursework and preparing my own outlines, I would test myself using these flash cards to determine where I was strong and where there were gaps in my knowledge. I would then add to my outline using these cards.
My only qualm was that some of these cards went into far more depth on some subjects that my coursework didn't go into and it was sometimes hard to locate the specific subjects being treated in class, due to the way the cards were organized. Also, beware of buying a used set of flashcards--if you get these out of order, it's a real headache trying to organize them all again in the right order and you'll be lucky if the set is complete.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great supplemental study aid, July 11, 2010

This review is from: Law in a Flash: Evidence (Cards)
I'm a big fan of the Law in a Flash series. These cards make for a great supplemental study aid. The best feature, in my opinion, is the "scenario" questions. These are like mini-fact patterns designed to get you thinking about one particular issue. I've found these to help get my mind around particular topics in a format conducive to an essay style exam (which all of my instructors use). I do wish that the cards had some more "concept w/definition" cards (where one side gives a word, concept, or issue, and the answer side has a rote definition), but it's not a major issue. Unlike some of the other subjects in the Law in a Flash series, this one on Evidence isn't as repetitive. As such, the box actually seems a little empty (worked out fine for me, since I filled up part of that empty space with my own flash cards). That's not to say that they skimped on the material, though--everything is covered, and done well.
