5.0 out of 5 stars Great Intro to Law of Healthcare Administration
A well-organized, well-written textbook, with the right mix of discussion, analysis, and excerpts from case law. Style is very matter of fact; good handling of technical legal issues to make them accessible to lay (or at least non-attorney) readers. Used it to teach law course at a public health school, and students seemed to feel the book was very good.

1.0 out of 5 stars misprinted book
this book was not printed correctly. Part of chapter 9 is chapter 8(from another book), and so there are pages missing from chapter 9. Would like to return for refund, please.

4.0 out of 5 stars A definite upgrade from the old version, September 16, 2005

I'm using this text for a graduate level course, and it is a terrific resource. Our professor is one of the top health care lawyers in the state, and he is of the opinion that this text is leaps and bounds improved over the last version. I recommend it.

I don't usually rate text books, but I have to say I really am enjoying this one. First, the print is dark enough and not so tiny that one gets tired reading it. Each concept is followed by an example that helps explain it. And at the end of chapters are case studies in detail, which help one see how the decions were made, the former case or precedent it drew from, etc. For someone who was afraid of taking law, I find it very user friendly and (I hate to admit this) but sometimes it's even hard to put down. If you are in healthcare, you will enjoy this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the large law books, February 21, 2011
This review is from: The Law of Healthcare Administration (Hardcover)
This text book has a lot more information on the actual laws, and helps you to understand it in plain English. There aren't as many law cases in the text book, but all in all. I think it is an effective tool for learning about healthcare law.

very competitive pricing for a text book in decent shape. took a little longer then I thought it would getting to me, but still arrived easily within the time frame stated, and seller even contacted me on their own accord to apologize that it wasn't super-speedy. overall, a fine experience. gotta go study!
