Awesome X-Men story,
By A Customer
This review is from: Law of the Jungle (X-Men) (Paperback)
I like this novel largely for three reasons. First it's an adventure that takes place in the Savage Land and we get to see more of Ka-zar, Shanna, and Zabu. Second it's also a love story between Psylocke and Archangel who are two of my favorite X-Men. Thrid, Dave Smeds is a good writer who wrote an exciteing story here. You litterally can not put the book down until the final chapter. It's that good.

The X-MEN must defeat Sauron in the Savage Land to stop him.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Law of the Jungle (X-Men) (Paperback)
The X-MEN must overcome Sauron's hypnosis in order to stop his plans of conquest. But how can they beat him if they can't even look at him? Even one glance into Sauron's eyes and they are caught in his hypnotic spell and they become his slaves. Then they can not help but obey his every command. Soon, Sauron has captured almost all of the X-MEN, so will just two out of the seven be enough to stop him? Now that five X-MEN are his captives, he will absorb their life energy and charge his powers so he can not be defeated. Can Sauron's hypnotic spell spell the end of the X-MEN?

This novel was thoroughly enjoyable. You have all the elements of an exciting tale. Theres a new twist on an old villain, a plethora of characters, all with respectable contributions to the story, and of course all this is set amidst the fantastic landscape of the Savage Land. X-enthusiasts , get this book, you won't regret it.

just like the good old days!,

This review is from: Law of the Jungle (X-Men) (Paperback)
Even though the book has Cannonball as part of the X-Men and the stupid Asian version of Psylocke, this novel _felt_ like one of the old Chris Claremont X-Men comics from the good old days (mid-1980's or so). It was a whole lot of fun!

the best X-Men novel out there,
By A Customer
This review is from: Law of the Jungle (X-Men) (Paperback)
This is definitely the best X-Men book, closely followed by Prisoner X and Smoke and Mirrors. I am slightly biased because this is the only X-Men novel to prominently feature Psylocke, my favorite Marvel character. However, no matter who your favorite character is, you will enjoy this book. Greatly. The characterization is great, Ka-Zar and Shanna are great, Zabu is GREAT, and even Sauron is great. This book is just too much!!!

A decent read. While not quite up to the quality of "Smoke and Mirrors", this novel balances both a love story and an action-packed thrill ride. If you are a fan of Sauron or the Savage Land, then this is a must read.

Not that good,
This review is from: Law of the Jungle (X-Men) (Paperback)
I can't give a completely accurate review of this book because i never finished it. I got a little less than half way through it when I said the heck with it. I just didn't find it that interesting and I thought the charaterzation was a little off. I would sugggest reading X-men Doctor Doom Chaos Engine book 1 it is awsome. well thats my 2 cents
