This is a great set for Law and Order game fans. I like being able to solve cases myself, and the games keep on getting better with each new game.
This is a great deal, seeing as how each game retails for $20 each and there's three games in here. There are graphics intensive games, so make sure you have a good graphics card. The main downside is that it's published by UbiSoft, who puts in copy protection software (which can suck if you have a rewritable drive - they don't mesh well together).

I bought this set based on watching a friend play the first title, Dead On The Money, several years ago. He was using Win-98 but this game can work on XP and even Vista; what helps alot is installing the latest version of Java with VM from Sun's site. I also used compatibility mode on the setup programs and set them to XP SP2. The games seem to work flawlessly now. As to the content, the only one I am familiar with yet is the first game, being presented what one is best skilled at (gathering evidence, etc.) then working with Briscoe on the case. The other two titles seem to start this way also. They are kind of a strategy/mystery/puzzle type game and I would not classify them as action games, but they do hold your attention. Later in the game you work with other members of the force and then in court as well.

The game and its stories are excellent. I usually prefer games based on solving crimes. One big goof-up in the game that is inexcusable, considering that the Law and Order show itself is made with extreme care - the witnesses come to court in plain clothes and leather jackets. Everyone who comes to court must be in suits. This is a major goof-up, as far as I am concerned. I am a big L&O show fan. This is a pretty modern game of the modern era with lots of new technology available. Anyone and everyone who has played other games, and those who program games know very well that it is not so hard to program characters in such a way that they wear different outfits at different points of the game.
Same judge and same lawyer for two of the games? That is not really realistic. And what about confronting the defendant with newly gathered evidence to avoid the hassle of even going to trial? All these are shown in the show, but grossly ignored in the game. I also have to admit that leaving out the character Jack McCoy from the game was not a bright idea. Law & Order without Jack McCoy is unimaginable. The show should and will continue without him at some point when he leaves, but while he is still on the show, he should have been included in the game. Detective Greene comes only in one of the games. Anita Van Buren is left out of "Justice is Served." There is no appropriate reason for leaving these characters out. After all, these are animated characters. There is no need to depend on the actors/actresses themselves. And who in God's name is Northcut and that other district attorney? Where's Arthur Branch or Nora? Another flaw of the game - if you have windows vista, the first two games don't work well. The game keeps quitting unexpectedly very often. If you do not save regularly, you will get really frustrated. There were no technical flaws noted with "Justice is Served," however. With that being said, is the game still good? I still think it is great. It is a lot of fun to play it. The stories are really good. But, the next time they make an L&O game, I hope they make it more realistic, and more closely along the lines of the show. And, I seriously hope they do not leave characters like Jack McCoy and Anita Van Buren out of the game.

Love the show and love the game. I find it to be fun and challenging. I have had to use walkthroughs (http://www.quandaryland.com/jsp/dispArticle.jsp?index=673)to figure somethings out but overall, it rocks. I love being the detective and going to trail. It has to be a little difficult or it would not be fun. It is just like the show right down to the wise cracks. As for the computer requirements it says on the box Windows XP only. When buying computer games you really have to be careful and read the requirements carefully! As for the crashes this happens when you play games that require a lot of space and you do not have much left on your computer. Try running it with limited graphics and sound if you really want to play. Or, delete some old game on your computer your are not playing. Most people will not have problems

Am a microsoft certified specialist. My computer exeeds recommended requirements. I'll be dipped if I can get this to run!! Game not only chokes and freezes, but it changes my desk top settings with each attempt (real pain). "Read Me" and UBI Support (oxymoron) NO help... Would be better entertained taking $$ paid for this set out back, setting it on fire, and watching the flames!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

I purchased this product last year, but wasn't able to install it until this year, when I did it didn't even play. It installed fine, but it locks up and won't get beyond the first scene in the case. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS. A WASTE OF MY MONEY AND TIME.

I purchased Law & Order Justice is Served on a whim. I saw it on a shelf in a store while looking for an I-Pod. Since I am a big L&O fan, it struck me as interesting. It took me about 3 weeks before I had time to open it and play the game and it was so much fun. Since it was during the Christmas holidays, my sons were home from college and we played this game for hours. We stopped only to eat and open gifts and then we would go back to playing the game. Shortly after finishing this game, I found and purchased the other two and had as much fun.
I love the way you are required to apprehend the suspect and then prosecute the case and I realize there are several different paths to go down. The graphics are good and the puzzles were challenging, but it doesn't work well on Vista at all. I wish they would continue with this game.
