Formed in 2004 as a collaboration of two of NYC's top DJs, Rexx Arkana and Dräcos, FGFC820 menaces the global club scene with a harsh blend of heavy, bombastic beats and aggressively delivered political vitriol. The band has been touring the United States since the 2006 release of their charged debut Urban Audio Warfare, assembling a small army of passionate fans. Meanwhile, in Europe, FGFC820 amassed numerous compilation appearances and led an audio attack upon the German DAC charts, exerting their grip for the maximum eight weeks and topping out at #2 behind scene legends Skinny Puppy. --This text refers to an alternate Audio CD edition.

Uneven but contains about 6 fantastic songs.,
By Scott Edward Calibraxis (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Law & Ordnance (Audio CD)
FGFC820 makes harsh industrial/electro music that aspires to be in the same category as Grendel, or Suicide Commando. Like their first record, Urban Audio Warfare, this album is pretty uneven, but several great songs really redeem it. Half the album consists of your typical pissed-off, anti-war/anti-american heavy handed lyrics over fairly forgettable pounding beats. But about halfway into the album, there are six songs that are just class-A dancefloor terrors with much more subtle lyrics, amazing beats, memorable melodies--fantastic, propulsive, driving, and catchy songs that I find myself immediately skipping back to and repeating as soon as they are over.
It's sad that these great tracks weren't just released on their own, perhaps in EP format, because the mere presence of the other mediocre ones with their stupid lyrics kind of spoil the effect. I will be looking out for future releases, as this act has a lot of potential. If you are a big fan of industrial/electro/ebm, Law & Ordnance is well worth your time. If you are not as dedicated to the genre, there are other, better, albums out there.
