The book was great, but ...,

I love the book. I had seen it in my lawyer's office and thought to get a copy for my younger brother, who is starting law school. The application of art, history, and philosophy to law outside of the academic setting is wonderful. The quality of the prints is excellent and the layout makes it easy to pick up this book for a quick quote to throw around at a party or an extra insight into contract law.
That written, I must say that my transaction with the vendor was poor. The book I bought was advertised as new, unused condition with the dust jacket. I received the book without a dust jacket, faded, and with moisture damage. Pages were stuck together and moldy - almost all of the pages were yellowed. Be wary who you buy from as items are NOT as advertised.

I read this book while on a university visit here in Australia. I'd dearly love to own it. Trouble is, for some reason used copies cannot be sent to me in Australia because of 'warranty' or 'manufacturer's restrictions'! For books? Why?? I read the book here in Australia - I suspect it was shipped here. I doubt that it sprouted a head and limbs, bought a ticket and flew here in Business Class.
To add insult to injury, a message flashes up saying there is a 'slight' problem with the order. I'm invited to nominate another address - ie overseas ... where I don't live. What nonsense. I am very dissatisfied, to put it mildly. Rob, Cairns, Australia

This book covers legal history in art as well as literature. I enjoyed reading several of the sections covering historical legal documents.
