Product Description

The Unbreakable AutoLock PRO simply locks up the brake or clutch pedal, making your car or truck impossible to drive. Guaranteed! The Unbreakable AutoLock PRO features a solid steel deadbolt lock system is virtually drill-proof, cut-proof and freon-proof under normal circumstances and use. The TOP level of Auto Security with a BULLETPROOF lock and a $5,000 guarantee! The Unbreakable AutoLock is the only anti-theft device to receive Thatcham Approval AND to be rated #1 by Good Housekeeping. BRAKE vs. STEERING WHEEL The Unbreakable AutoLock PRO uses the brake pedal or clutch pedal arm because their thick solid steel construction makes them one of the strongest parts of your vehicle and virtually impossible to cut.  Steering wheel locks are typically bars that attach to the steering wheel and prevent it from turning. Most steering wheels are made of thin metal & foam because they are designed to bend out of the driver's way in an accident. A car thief can easily cut the steering wheel using a bolt cutter or hacksaw, remove the steering wheel lock and steal the vehicle. Features: Hardened steel construction with BULLETPROOF lock Prevents use of brake pedal or clutch Includes highly visible steering wheel cover and window decal. Because of a unique brake pedal arm design, the Unbreakable AutoLock DOES NOT fit the following vehicles: Audi A4, A6, TT 1997-2003, Ford Contour 1995-2000, Mercury Mystique 1995-2000, Porsche 911, 928, 944, 968, Before 1999 Toyota Tacoma 2000-2003, VW Jetta, Golf/GTI 2000-2003, VW Passat, Beetlen 2000-2003

If you will not stand by your product, why should I believe that your product works?

I really don't like this product thought it may help prevent a theft or from someone stealing your car its a hassle to lock brake pedal on the car.

After that I threw it out because I didn't want that to happen to me at an unfortunate time.

My car was stolen with this device properly attached. When I retrieved the car, the busted AutoLock was waiting for me on my front seat. The AutoLock's shorter metal "arm" was bent out of the way (separated from the rest of the Autolock by about an inch), and the brake pedal face bent slightly, enabling the AutoLock to slip off the brake. From articles I've read about the AutoLock on the Internet, it's length is a major weakness: it can be used as leverage to bend the (relatively) weak metal arm and disable it. Either that happened, or a crowbar was used to bend it.

Bottom line: don't rely 100% on this device to protect your car. Nothing can do that. It is only a deterrent, just like the Club, and will not prevent a determined thief from taking your car. However, realizing the flaws of the AutoLock, I can say that now I own and use BOTH the Club and Autolock, and just hope that the work to disable this tandem is enough to discourage the next would-be thief.

There is no comparison between the AutoLock and the much more well know Club. The Club is a steering wheel obstruction and is easily defeated by simply cutting the hollow tube steering wheel and slipping the Club off. The AutoLock is far superior to the Club and easily justifies its much higher price by the fact that it works and steering wheel obstruction locks don't.

I own both the original AutoLock (flat key version) and the new AutoLock Pro (tubular key version). A car thief attempted to steal my banged up 1986 Honda Civic that has over 250,000 miles on it, but his attempt was foiled by the Autolock Pro. This was the second attempt on this car within the last 6 months. I guess this old car is prime target due to some of its critical parts not being manufactured by Honda anymore. The first time the thief damaged my car door's lock but he did not get in. This time the thief, perhaps the same thief, got inside the car but he was foiled by the Autolock Pro. He tried unsuccessfully to wriggle the Autolock loose from the brake pedal. He took nothing with the exception of a cheap pair of driving gloves (perhaps to be used on his next break-in job). He even left alone a Fenix LED flashlight worth $55! So he was definitely after my car.

The lock is heavy and a bit unwieldy. The lock's sharp and pointed T-shaped foot can easily damage the interior of your car. My car suffered a couple of puncture holes on the ceiling uphostery and has a few dent marks on the radio due to contact with the pointed foot of the Autolock.

Also, it's annoyingly loud for those who are sensitive to metal banging noises.

My car was stolen with device engaged. It was stolen while my wife and I were both at home. We did not hear a single thing. Their 'guarantee' by the way is a complete farse. Wow, they'll cover the deductable... but only on a comprehensive coverage policy. If you are wanting to keep your car safe, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

The AutoLock PRO did not prevent my vehicle from being stolen! Although the product was properly installed, the product failed to perform as advertised. Worse yet, when I informed Unbreakable Corp. (mfg. of the AutoLock PRO) that my vehicle was stolen and wanted to enact the product guarantee reimbursing me for my insurance deductible, the company refused. If you will not stand by your product, why should I believe that your product works? A product is only as good as the guarantee, and by not fulfilling the guarantee, the Unbreakable Corp. DOES NOT stand by its product. Caveat emptor!

I own both the original unbreakable autolock (with the flat key) and the autolock pro (with the round key). The original autolock never failed to open after 10+ years of use on two cars. The autolock pro failed to open after about two years of light use. This is not a key problem, because I could not open it with two original keys. I eventually wiggled the lock a lot to open it. I recommend that you stick with the original autolock if you wish to use this kind of security device.

I had the Autolock engaged on the clutch pedal of a car with an alarm and starter disable. The next morning the Autolock was laying in the street where the car used to be. Had the Autolock been effective, it would not have been possible to push-start the car, which the thieves did.

Purchase the Autolock ONLY as your weakest layer of security. A well-installed alarm, multiple kill switches, boot devices, etc. will do much more to help you keep your car.

I have had this awesome little device for about 5 years now. In that time there have been TWO attempts by car thieves to take my car (a Honda Civic).

The first attempt it looks as though they saw it and moved on (door was open, things shuffled about). This was while it was parked at my school in the midst of a string of Honda Civic thefts (there had been no less than 10 thefts of modified civics in the past two months--which is what inspired me to buy this). Given the context of the situation and since nothing else was taken or disturbed, the only logical conclusion is that they were after the car itself.

The second attempt was by a much more aggressive would-be thief. This one worked at the clutch lock for a good long time. When I got to my car the next morning, the clutch pedal covering was broken off and the pedal bar itself was bent slightly off to the right, however the lock remained solidly in place. They even broke into my trunk to retrieve the tools to try and pry it off. They had no such luck. The pedal cover was replaced for $10 and all was well.

I would trust any car to this in any situation. Certainly you should use an alarm as well, and be conscious about where you leave your car, but this is a fantastic deterrent.

This product is the best 60 bucks I have ever spent on my car. GET IT!
