This review is from: A Lawman For Christmas (Paperback)
Overall, this was a really great book. It was a fast, fun read (dispite the domestic violence). I think some books tend to be unnecessarily drawn out, but this book kept out the "fluff". It gets the story told & that's all that matters.

My only problem with the book is the way the Luminary Society "helps out" (I don't want to give away that part, so I'll keep it vague). It seemed kinda laughable & improbable, but maybe that's what the author was going for.

Actually, one other thing sort of bugged me. The author never went into details about what happened to the girl Mitch used to love. Again, I don't want to spoil the book, so I can't go into details about that, but I felt like the author could've discussed it a bit more.

'TIS THE SEASON...

After learning to read and cipher (with the help of her dear friends at the Luminary Society) and saving up some money, Josie Turner is ready to start a new life. But when she ends up on the wrong side of the law through no fault of her own, she finds herself seeking comfort and protection with the sheriff! Lawman Mitch Hughes holds Josie's fate in his hands, yet it isn't long before his kind and gentle ways have
captured her heart as well..

...FOR WISHES TO COME TRUE

For years, honor kept Mitch from admitting how much he yearned for Josie. Even as a widow, she should be beyond his reach. She is more than his responsibility, she's his prisoner. To get them out of this fix, and see justice done in the process, they'll need a little faith, a lot of love... and a Christmas Miracle...

I really enjoyed this book alot. I finished this in one evening, I couldn't put it down it was so good!!

Pat Pritchard is an excellent author! I look forward to more of her books - perhaps there is someone in the future for Ben?

I just fell in love with Mitch and Josie. He is tender and sensitive to Josie. A man we all can fall in love with!!!!
