4.0 out of 5 stars Milky Spore Dispenser
Works great on Flat grassy areas...I happened to hit a small rock with mine and it broke the bottom out. I was able to kind of fix it but it was not the same.....It did last for over one acre of property though....The tool definitely makes application of the spore much easier than any other method I could think of.......

2.0 out of 5 stars Not necessary for dispensing Milky Spore
I bought the dispenser for use over 1 acre of land, and quite honestly, I became frustrated with the dispenser and used a clean pot with holes in the bottom instead. The tube was next to impossible to fill in any sort of appreciable time without spilling Milky Spore all over your hands. If you get this product, a funnel is a must!!! Next, the actual method dispensing...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not necessary for dispensing Milky Spore, July 18, 2007
This review is from: Lawn and Garden Dispenser tube for Milky Spore
I bought the dispenser for use over 1 acre of land, and quite honestly, I became frustrated with the dispenser and used a clean pot with holes in the bottom instead. The tube was next to impossible to fill in any sort of appreciable time without spilling Milky Spore all over your hands. If you get this product, a funnel is a must!!! Next, the actual method dispensing took a long time. I would up spreading Milky Spore on the stems of plants, my shoes, and pants. Also, I did this in the morning and the dispenser is made of cardboard. After a while, dew would swell and damage the end of the applicator.

Overall, it's a good idea for applying the product, but save a few bucks and use household items instead.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seems to be a waste of money, June 15, 2008

Okay, if you want to spend $7 for a cardboard tube, go ahead. I did thinking there had to be a bit more to it.

It's messy, pain to fill this thing, the spore goes everywhere. When dispensing I quickly figured out there has to be a better way to get a more uniform spread.

I ended up mixing the milky spore in with some fertilizer and using my lawn spreader. Worked much better.

This purchase was a waste of money. It was difficult to dispense accurate amounts of milky spores. Milky Spores are way to expensive to not be able to dispense accurately.

2.0 out of 5 stars Milkey Spore Dispenser.....Poor...keeping looking, August 2, 2009

This product looks like all the rest but is far from it. The tube is normal cardboard so the product "sticks" to the inside of the tube, it doesn't slide out nicely for despensing.(others I have seen since have a silver coating inside the cardboard to make the product slide out with out any problem) When dispensing you must shake it very hard to get any thing to come out. Because of this trying to get the correct amount to come out the bottom is very difficult, you never know how far you should open the slider on the bottom for distribution. You "cannot" fill the tube to the top with product as this only magnitude the problem of dispensing. I borrowed one from my sister so that my daughter and I could do the lawn at the same time. The difference between the two dispensers was unbelievable. Her's was silver coated inside and the product dispensed extremely well. She found hers in a local store and paid about half the price for it..... and it was a better product. I would not reccomend this particular product from this web site store to anyone.

It would be easier to mix milky spore with sand, then use a fertilizer spreader to disperse the milky spore, but Milky Spore provider says you can't mix it with anything and does not provide logical reason.

Just like a big can of insecticide powder. Its a pain and any other way is a pain to put down the Milky Spores. I hope they work and its the 10 years plus before we need to do it again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it., February 4, 2012
This review is from: Lawn and Garden Dispenser tube for Milky Spore
We applied this last summer. The weather was very humid and the dispenser continued to clog. After about doing half the yard, the cap came off and needed to be taped on to complete the yard. For the cost I would expect a better product.

This is a great product for dispensing Milky Spore. This is the only product that will eliminate the evil Japanese beetles that eat everything in sight. They do what traps cannot do. After years of trying to reduce the beetle population, I found one that works.
