Defective and warranty not honored, April 17, 2010
This review is from: Men's Pro Boot (Apparel)
I've purchased two pair of Lawngrips, one in Dec 2008, and one in Dec 2009. I think they must have changed and cheapened the manufacturing process, because the older boots held up and are still wearable, while the newer, 5 month old pair have fallen apart at the seams, literally. All the seams have blown out under light to moderate wear, during the dry season. The older boots are still in good shape, and although the treads are worn, are still solid in the seams after a full year of landscaping work through both wet and dry seasons in south Florida. I contacted the Lawngrips warranty department, and they have not bothered to return my emails, except to say that the boots don't usually last more than 6 months. Again, these are 5 month old boots which are warrantied for 6 months.
I really wish these boots were still as good as previously, as they were my favorite work boots.
