Editorial Reviews

Review

"This book presents a compact yet thorough exposition and defense of an important position about the metaphysics of natural laws. The level of philosophical argumentation is consistently high, and while the dialectic gets quite intricate at times, Language more than compensates by writing in a lucid and thoroughly engaging manner. I think it's a must read, for anyone interested in the nature of natural laws." --Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews

Professor and Chair Lange is an excellent thinker. He is able to give in the very clear philosophical posture a synopsis of how we should look at reality.

I bought this book because of another of Marc Lange's books: An Introduction to the Philosophy of Physics, which was AMAZING, rich and detailed, good for those of us coming to philosophy with reluctance from the physics side.

This book was of more interest to philosophers and less to physicists, I would expect. Not really my thing.
