5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful book that is both Accessible and Practical
I've read tons of personal development books. When the authors of those books cite their experiences as consultants to Fortune 500 companies and their CEOs, I can't relate. In their clear, helpful, and powerful book, The Laws of Lifetime Growth, authors Sullivan and Nomura impart useful wisdom, while using examples about real people I can relate to, with every day...

After studying much of Dan Sullivan's work over the last few years, I genuinely think he's a genius and a masterful teacher. Unfortunately, this book didn't communicate as well as his other works. I therefore recommend readers buy this book as well as his other materials from The Strategic Coach progam. His insight and teachings have helped me significantly increase my...

I've read tons of personal development books. When the authors of those books cite their experiences as consultants to Fortune 500 companies and their CEOs, I can't relate. In their clear, helpful, and powerful book, The Laws of Lifetime Growth, authors Sullivan and Nomura impart useful wisdom, while using examples about real people I can relate to, with every day stories. It was a quick, easy read, and I've already shared it with a bunch of friends, and put into effect several of the book's excellent suggestions. Buy this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Growing happy: How to exercise your attitude and love your life and work., February 10, 2007
This review is from: The Laws of Lifetime Growth: Always Make Your Future Bigger Than Your Past (Hardcover)
It would be a great thing to sell at airports for business and other travelers. It's digestible in one or two flights and it's chock-full of inspiring thoughts. And that would be enough but this book goes further and offers practical steps for implementing the inspiration! I felt so "I can do this!" after reading it, I thought I'd keep the book on my shelf for future shots in the arm.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book will instantly increase your confidence and provide you with tremendous direction and focus., February 12, 2006
This review is from: The Laws of Lifetime Growth: Always Make Your Future Bigger Than Your Past (Hardcover)
One of the simplest ways to break free of the complexity in our fast changing world is to have guiding "generalized principals" that are always true. These principals become huge strategic advantages for anyone who learns and applies them. Dan Sullivan's genius is that he and his able co-author (Catherine Nomura) provide a simple priority of laws to live by that will enhance anyones life. Equally as important, these laws provide great guidance on avoiding many of the traps and dead-ends that cause stagnation or depletion. After reading this book you will wish you understood these laws earlier in life...but will be very glad you learned them for the rest of your life. -- Joseph J. Janiczek, Author of How to Achieve Absolute Financial Freedom

5.0 out of 5 stars The Laws of Lifetime Growth:Always Make Your Future Bigger Than Your Past, February 1, 2006
This review is from: The Laws of Lifetime Growth: Always Make Your Future Bigger Than Your Past (Hardcover)
I enjoyed The Laws of Lifetime Growth very much. It opened a process of deep inner inquiry into a contemplated career move as well as into the question of whether I was living my values. All the tools described in this little book point the way to a work ethic that can contribute meaningfully to a sense of well-being. I especially appreciated the chapter on gratitude.

The 10 Laws of Lifetime Growth is OK. Yet, there are many much better alternatives out there. For example, try Michael Ray's "The Highest Goal" instead. Sullivan and Nomura's overly simplistic writing style does not serve the purpose very well, at least in this particular instance. In addition, the numerous trademarked references turn the book into a kind of an oversized sales brochure for The Strategic Coach.

After 28 years in the insurance business I was beginning to feel a little complacent. I've managed to obtain a level of success much greater than I ever dreamt I would personally and professionally. Yet I felt like something was missing, but couldn't quite put my finger on what exactly.
After reading Dan;'s book I've come to realize what I've heard all my life is true: "Success is journey not a destination". Dan's book has given me new insights in to what really makes me happy. The laws are a great prescription for living a rewarding life well beyond the material!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Secret Sauce!, March 7, 2006
This review is from: The Laws of Lifetime Growth: Always Make Your Future Bigger Than Your Past (Hardcover)
Dan Sullivan and Catherine Nomura have created, what I believe, is the most important book you will read this year. It's actually much more than a book - it's way to view life and live every day.

As an entrepreneur, I've been a fan of Dan's work for much of the past decade and have read or listened to every book, tape and CD he has published - The Laws of Lifetime Growth is written by Dan and Catherine to speak to anyone and everyone, not just the entrepreneur. I gave it the maximum number of stars possible but would give it 10 stars if I could!

I just bought 10 copies today as gifts for several people I know. For anyone who think their life's biggest accomplishments are behind them, this book will change everything!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ten potent laws of personal growth, April 16, 2007
This review is from: The Laws of Lifetime Growth: Always Make Your Future Bigger Than Your Past (Hardcover)
Dan Sullivan and Catherine Nomura address the need for continuous personal growth, and show you how to lead a more fulfilling personal and work life. They provide encouragement, buttressed by personal stories about people who have faced the challenges or made the personal discoveries described in each chapter. The authors tell you how to live life with an inquiring mind and a desire to serve others. They offer 10 "laws" you can use to measure your success by assessing the ways you benefit others. If you need help making this constant journey at your own speed, slip this small book into your briefcase and consult it along the way. We recommend this quick read to stimulate your desire to accomplish great things.
