5.0 out of 5 stars Spangler Does It Again (Once, Twice)
A fantastic book on the art of manifesting. Very scholarly, very well written. This book is actually a compilation of his essays that were written for a college audience, so, beware this is not light reading. Also, this book cannot teach you how to manifest things that are not in the "will of God" so don't get this book if you are trying to lose weight or get your...

1.0 out of 5 stars A Lot of Hot Air
If you're looking for a book to tell you how to manifest something you want, this book is NOT it. The first third of the book is just an introduction about the author's life at Findhorn (who cares?). The book is extremely repetitive telling you ad nauseum about how everything is all one and you're divine (heresy?). The prose is so dense that reading it is like walking...

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended by Jim Marion, December 21, 2004
By
E. Ellis "student" (Albuquerque, NM USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Laws of Manifestation (Paperback)
I've not read this book, but Jim Marion in "The Death of the Mythic God" (p. 133) calls it "The best book on manifestation I have ever read ...." I've grown to have great respect for Mr. Marion's opinions, so that statement certainly got my attention.

He paraphrases David Spangler's message as follows: "When one manifests, one is not doing magic but "translating" energy either up or down, from one level to another. When an author writes a book, he translates mental energy into a physical form. An artist can translate emotional energy into a physical painting. A politician can use mental energy to create emotional energy in a crowd."

"Spangler notes that manifestation is not creating something out of nothing but rather is making visible or "manifest" that which already exists in an invisible state...."

Jim Marion is also the author of "Putting On the Mind of Christ".

This is a great book, an easy read, and a new way of thinking to better manifest what you want and how to help others with their manifestations (whole system thinking)

5.0 out of 5 stars The Laws of Manifestation: A Consciousness Classic by David Spangler, August 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book is small yet mighty as the author helps to rework our mind-set on manifesting. It is not about the laws of attraction as David helps us to see that what we want/need is already available; we just have to 'step into it' which is what this book guides you through!
This book makes me want to read all of David Spangler's works!
Enjoy the Ride!

5.0 out of 5 stars It is not a secret..., August 2, 2011

Wonderfully written for the person interested in practicing the art of spiritual living. I strongly recommend this book for those who know that living is not about being a millionaire, but feeling like a millionaire in mind, body, and soul.

If you're looking for a book to tell you how to manifest something you want, this book is NOT it. The first third of the book is just an introduction about the author's life at Findhorn (who cares?). The book is extremely repetitive telling you ad nauseum about how everything is all one and you're divine (heresy?). The prose is so dense that reading it is like walking down a long hallway filled with cotton candy. He doesn't give clear directions on HOW to manifest anything (e.g., do A, B, & C, and you'll get result D). If you want to learn to manifest, this book is a waste of time.
