Book Description

October 28, 2008
It's totally refreshing to find a book written by a bloke for blokes about blokes in love. This book is well overdue and women all over the world should be celebrating. At last a bloke talking about "evolve-ya-bastard" to men. What is great is the question and answer format. So, it's relevant and contextual. I mean he's taken questions from people and answered them in as short a space of page as could be imagined. I don't think he could have said less, but in this case, less is more. The chapter about "understanding others" is awesome too. Who would have thought that thousands of years ago people knew so much about the human constitution and how "different folks need different strokes" – just from that alone, we can understand the dynamics between ourselves and others better and therefore, respect them more. The last chapter blew us away. Those two circles and the idea of being individual for more than 60% of our life yet, merging for 30% is sensational. It just makes being in love so much more fun. Partners all over the world will really laugh at this when they see how simple it can be. This is really life changing. As for the laws of nature: what genius. It is said that the most powerful teacher can make the most complex, simple. Brilliant understanding of the whole entire universe in five short laws, it's really unimaginable that it can be so ordered and perfect. So is this book.

About the Author

I screwed up my first marriage: unnecessarily. I can blame naivete, my childhood, or my ex-wife, but that just doesn't wash, does it? The truth is, I made a mess of my first marriage because I didn't understand relationships. I had no role models in my own family, and the blokes I hung out with, were even more disconnected than me. So, when the dust settled, and after a few years in serious self-examination, I went looking for a model of how to be a bloke, in love. In the real world there weren't many to choose from, and the nice people were either in monasteries or so busy at their jobs, they were heading down the same old path I went down. Neither for me, did getting in touch with my feminine side work. Nope, that was nice but I don't think the answer is in demeaning the whole masculine experience. From my exploration, what is needed is a celebration of the masculine side, by evolving it. Masculine energy can cause great harm, but evolved, harnessed and applied it can become the pinnacle of beauty. It can be the healer's touch, the leader's compassion, the doctor's commitment, the fireperson's willingness to save a life. This is masculine energy and evolved it can really jump the tracks of the past violence. Chris spends 3 months of the year taking small groups up into his favorite spots in the High Himalayas of Nepal. In his writing Walker draws on his MBA and BE as well as numerous qualifications in Eastern arts including: Yoga, Meditation, Shiatsu, Zen, Reiki and others. This is the unique diversity you get in his books; however, Walker's real inspiration is nature. A passionate student of the ancient laws of nature, Chris spends every moment he can outdoors in the wild. This, he believes, is the connection to nature we must all cherish in order to sustain our personal humanity. This is Chris' 20th book on the topic of positive personal change through higher consciousness.

This review is from: The Laws of Nature for a Better Relationship (Paperback)
The Laws of nature for a better relationship incorporates questions that we all ask at some stage in our life whether we feel as enlightened as the Dali Lama or as fragile as someone who has just been broken hearted. Christopher Walkers' writing is REAL. His attitude is down to earth, easy to relate to and he has a skill in putting spirituality and sexuality in perspective. Christopher Walkers' spiritual guidance is not about escaping the world but integrating spirituality in every thing we do.
The laws of nature can teach us so much and these are the laws that Christopher Walker teaches from, simple and natural.
