A revised version is available,
By A Customer
This review is from: Laws of the Night (Mind's Eye Theatre) (Paperback)
It should be noted that there is a revised edition of this book (September 1999, by Jason Carl). There seem to be some fairly significant changes, so if you are looking for a manual to explain the rules of an existing LARP, find out which edition they are using before you make your purchase.

A useful companion for live roleplay.,

This book is a reasonable rules set for the larp folks. It's not a thrilling read, being mostly rules and mechanics, however it doesn't claim to be anything different. There are a lot of things it leaves out which I feel should be included, such as Hunters, Magi, Garou, the Faithful, and other world constructs, however these are published in other books, presumably to rake more cash out of the roleplayers. And while it's not the most clearly written of any White Wolf product, it's not cryptic. If you like vampires and live action, pick this book up.

Replaced by Newer Gaming System in 2001,

It should be mentioned that this is NOT the current White Wolf game system, it was replaced back in 2001. Thanks!

I loved this book, it's the perfect reference for any gamer. It is very complete but still stays concise. You can find the answer to almost any question in a matter of seconds. It is easy to carry over and insures the fluidity of the game.

Oh so nice with sugar and spice,
This review is from: Laws of the Night (Mind's Eye Theatre) (Paperback)
This book is great for those Children of The night who are bored of "sit-down" role-playing. With this book you get everything you need, from merits and flaws to info on bloodlines! This book is set up well for new and old players alike who want to get into LARPing (live-action role-playing) I give it two thumbs up!

All you need for playing a Kindred in the World of Darkness.,

If you larp as a vampire, you need this book. Contained within are rules for most of the likely situations- combat, diablerie, etc.-, the ranks and offices of the Camarilla, as well as all the clans with all their disciplines. My only complaint is that there are higher levels of the disciplines that are not listed in these larp rules. Definitely a must have for live action gamers.

This is a must have for VtM LARP players. The rules are a bit sketchy, but the basics are there.

Laws of the Night is a wonderful breakthrough in role-playing. It brings you into the World of Darkness as it was meant to be. This system is simple and easy to learn and use, and yet still complete and effective. For all you Vampire: The Masquarade lovers out there, you absolutely MUST try LARPing (Live Action Role Play) at least once!
