Book Description

May 4, 2001
When the Bill Of Rights contains 297 words, and Lincoln's Gettysburg Address has 266 words, but it takes 26,911 words for government legal eagles to spell out regulations on cabbage pricing, it's esy to see that lawyers provide us with plenty of fodder for irony and hilarity. With the pages of Lawyers: Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes, readers will find hundreds of silly sayings, "insightful" interrogations, odd laws, and original knee-slapping jokes about a profession whose practitioners write 10,000 word documents yet still call them briefs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outrageously Funny and Poignant, July 4, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My book is so dog-eared it is almost twice as thick as the original! The book is replete with short exchanges that reveal human foible, skewer pomposity and give solid evidence to the all-to-common, yet painful, truth of living in a society where the law is an essential ingredient to necessary order. At times I found myself laughing out loud for minutes at a time. Other times, I had to put the book down to reflect on the truth revealed in words uttered from the mouths of laymen. If you know and love lawyers, get frustrated in legal processes or just want a riotous, light-hearted read, this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lawyer Humor, October 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These Jokes, quotes, and antecdotes are hilarious! I work for an attorney and gave this calendar to him for Christmas. He loves it! He often calls us to his office to read today's joke, quote, etc. We all find it both enlightening and humorous. A great way to start out everyday. I highly recommend this calendar to anyone, no matter who you are. You will definately enjoy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Law practice is funny, November 13, 2011

I don't understand why the other reviews actually appear since not of them directly apply to the 2012 Day-to-Day Calendar. Must get a lawyer on this case immediately !

Life is funny. Law is funnier. Once a day, you get an insight on how we, the lawyers, poor confused individuals, try to make sense out of conflict and make money out of other people's problems.

Lawyer jokes, stupid laws, real court conversations, it's a mixed bag of everything weird and humorous that is the light and funny side of our profession.

A good gift for the lawyer in your life.
