This rice is very good, it is a fluffy kind of rice with very long grain, not the kind that sticks together in clumps but a less starchy type rice. I am diabetic and this does have a much lower glycemic level then white rice or brown rice. If you eat it by itself it tends to raise your glucose a bit higher then if you eat this with some fat and protein.
It does not affect my blood sugar in a negative way when eaten with a meal. Very easy to prepare and tastes great! Regular white rice will push my blood sugar up over 200. This rice will not push it higher than 150 after two hours, usually just to 135. Portion control is important!

Excellent rice, delightful flavor, sturdy grains that don't mush or stick together. Great for stand alone side dish or dishes like fried rice. Really loved it. However -- Unfortunate shipping costs. Great rice/ very dry mouth feel - at first wondered if it was just normal basmati rice,but its not - it's really very good.
